Thanks John. Great review. Playadito has become my favorite Argentinian mate. Flavor for me is a 10 . A nice caffeine effect but does not overwhelm you like the Uruguayan mates that are heavy on caffeine. Enjoying your reviews

Great video! Playadito is what got me into mate. What Mate has the most caffeine in your opinion? I've had Canarias as well which I've found to be different but in a good way. Cheers!

Great review! I’m new to Yerba Mate(day 2😂), after researching, I decided to first try Playadito. Yesterday was my first time trying, it tasted like I drank wet burnt cigarettes 😂. It was terrible! Today was day 2, and the taste change to a roasted sunflower seed. Way more enjoyable, and like you said, the caffeine didn’t overwhelm me. I felt energized and focused! Looking forward to my Yerba Mate journey!

I'm glad to hear! Just a tip if it was tasting burnt, make sure the water you use isn't boiling hot! You want your water to be in the 160-180* F range for optimal flavor. If you use too hot of water, you can get a burnt taste; just like coffee. Good luck on your mate journey! :D

Hi. There is a tradicional way to prepare and drink mate. During preparation, there is a process we call “cevar” (I don’t know the translation 😂). This process makes it tastes less strong, avoid to burn the yerba and helps on the preparation itself. And water should be at maximum at 180 degrees F. Sorry for the language mistakes. As you can see, English is not my first language language 😂
