Where does the easy way start? I can just see you blindly trying notes... Isnt it easier to just get the midi of the sample from edison then using it as a guide?

Even when I put my 808s on the root notes, it still doesn't sound right. Having trouble turning good melodies into beats. I even try switching up the notes and just can't seem to make good patterns that go well with the mel

Did you make sure your 808 is in C? That could be why? Also just the 808 itself. Some are crazy with lots of harmonics. Try short snappy 808’s. Once you have a good pattern you can change the 808 out. Good luck!

Score and dump log in Edison to the playlist, it will turn any sample into midi and it’s a lot easier than this way,
