This is brilliant and well explained. Thanks, Greg!
Another great video Greg, very informative. Didn't know about being able to adjust the key that way, but now I know, thanks.
Thanks 4 ya Work Greg ❤️ you are amazing 😎❤️
wow just wow learned 2 things! thanks Greg
Awesome Mr Ondo
AWESOME!
Thanks. Very helpful.👍
Time to go produce! Thanks Greg. :D
And you can set each event independently or to follow global transport top left. Amazing!
Thanks 👍❤️
thanks !!!
When it cones to workflow, I don't think any daw can beat Cubase, they always have a button/function ready for any problem a producer faces in lifetime.
Hey Greg! Another great tip, thank you so much. Do midi events follow the root key setting as well? If so do I assume correctly that you can select / unselect the option " follow transpose" in the info line to set the behaviour towards the root key setting for individual events? (For example to exclude midi drum patterns from following transpositions) Or is this setting only referring to the transpose track? Thank you!
Cool!!!🌟🌟💯💯
very convenient
I have been working with Steinberger for 20 years now. When Nuendo and Cubase 12 start closing smoothly, I will continue to work with you. I'm currently on Presonus Studio One. A perfect DAW.

I have never had any problems closing my projects. It is often caused by 3rd party plug-ins not releasing from memory. Give the Cubase or Nuendo trial a go and see how it behaves.

@@gregondo376 Hi. My Cubase is original. I don't need a trial version. You seem to be the only one who closes Cubase without problems, share how you do it.

I suspect the hang on close issues may relate to iLok plugins, I do experience this too from time to time on Cubase 11 Pro.

Hi Greg, would that apply to MIDI data as well? Thank you
Hello, but how do we select, for example, A major or A minor? Where are the major or minor armor options? Please ! Thanks
Hi Greg, great videos, as always and thank you for being someone who knows everything about Cubase 👍🏾. Does this feature only work with Cubase stock samples? If not, can anything be done to external samples so they can be used with this feature? Thanks, Jason

I think as long as the samples have tempo and root key info entered as metadata, it will work the same way. Those attributes can be entered in MediaBay

I had wondered the same thing and didn't think it was possible. Kinda like Logic loops/samples only work this way in Logic. However, it sounds like as long as the metadata has been entered, which we can do in the Mediabay, that any loops/samples can become more "intelligent" when used in this fashion inside Cubase.

@@alainpatry there is hope, dude. Just requires a little bit of listening, working keys and tempos out and some data entry. We can handle that 👍🏾
This is the best DAW period. They just need a midi controller developed by them to access all these features in a tactile form, no more mouse
Surface Book2 13.5 & Surface Pro7 Can use Cubase Pro12 or Cubase old version ?
Awesome, thank you. Can imported samples (from Splice, or similar) do this too?

If the files have key and tempo information metadata in the files it should work.

@@gregondo376 wow, awesome, thank you. I’ll have to try it. The tempo and key are in the sample titles but I’m not sure if the meta data is embedded. Very interesting!

@@gregondo376 and if not than what is the fastet way to make them matched in tempo and root key?
I didn't understand if the drum track is transposed in the transpose track. Although all of them are set to musical mode, I would like the pitched instruments to be transposed, but not the drums. Is it so? (I need to put drums in musical mode for the timing..)
@gregondo376
Жыл бұрын
Most drum loops do not have metadata for a project root key so it does not follow. If for some reason there is a root key data select the event and set the global transpose to independent from the info line. Once done, it will not follow any transpositions from project root key settings.

@@gregondo376 Perfect! Thanks a lot
How did the drums haven’t been affected by the transpose?
What versions of Cubase have these features?
i cant here samples when im in cubase how fix that?
Hi when I click a loop beat it preview plays but if I click a single hit though it scrolls through the sound there is no volume unless I drag it to an audio track or open in the sample lower window. Any idea why I can't preview hit beats. Thanks.. cubase 10.5

Try enabling the MediaBay so that the preview can get routed through there.

I'd been pitch shifting individual samples. 😢
How does the root key differentiate between major and minor keys?
@gregondo376

It does not really differentiate between major, minor or other modes hence the term project root key. It is intended to show the harmonic indication.
