This is a couple of clips from the week down at Matanzas Inlet earlier this year. I didn't shoot as much video as I usually do, but there were some fun clips to be shared from the event.
A huge thanks to the entire group on this trip. From classroom time, to playing in the soup, rolling and catching waves, this was such an awesome week of training and all around fun. The group was really supportive and was really fantastic to see the progress all around.

Do you have to wait for the wind to kick up or are these waves typical? At one point the waves looked similarly to a tidal race so I was wondering if this specific area is close to a inlet or in-between 2 islands.
Looks like a great, well organised event... I love symposium season!
Looks fun Luke.. glad to see sea kayaking events like this still taking place.

@Kayak Hipster 100% was a rough 2021 and 22 but back in the saddle. Would love to have you up for WISKS 2024 if you are interested. Sept 2024

I love your footage! So much inspiration and JOY!! You are one of my favs to follow! I went and bought an Illusion from Sterling’s Kayak Shop last September. Can’t wait to try surfing some waves in it this season!
More coming ? I'm going to have to look into longer kayaks. I'm impressed with my wilderness systems Tsunami 175
