I was there for this got his autograph that day too. A true BMX legend. I'm still on the look out for my condor that was stolen for the 3rd and final time in 2012 from a friends in south jersey. Had the frame/fork combo since new it was my brothers then mine. 1in threaded headset and hoffman bomb man stem. It was all mid-late 90s parts besides the seat and brakes. Was painted matte textured tan i can name every part on that bike.

Matt’s motto is ( bones will heal & chicks dig scars) . The condor is a mad man such a beast , I had the chance to meet & even ride with him in 1987 when he was a part of Team Haro , I was friends with a guy at are local bike shop who use to worked for GT out in California & he knows all the pros & they came to my city for a week & they rode just about every bmx hot spot we did back in the day .

Yea but understand those bikes were 50lbs and were pure metal. Today's bikes are feather light and alot of riders can do pretty much anything. If you put a modern bmx rider on those Midschool bikes you better believe they won't execute those insane tricks they do on the mid Schools

the tricks hes doing are very common now, if he was competing today he would lose

Free style bmx only started in the mid 80 so 13 or 14 years ago up until that point it was still relatively a new sport. Matt Hoffman is a legend in freestyle bmx due to his innovative riding and his unreal bike control. Before he retired from competition he landed a tuck no hander 900 and this was after all the abuse he put his body through.
