I was never a big fan of Webstor as a kid, he seemed very blah. But this Masterverse version looks absolutely fantastic! So cool that u already have him! Awesome review btw, so much detail explained about the hook. Can't wait to see your reviews of the rest of the wave!

Webstor was one of those figures I saw out of nowhere on the pegs as a kid. I was so fascinated with him for some reason. The Classics really made a cool version of Webstor off the vintage figure. But the Masterverse one came out awesome! I'll try to get to the other figures I have soon! Thanks for stopping in to check out the review. I'm glad you like the new design too👍

Thanks for watching! Yeah, he was one of those figures in the day that was mixed with many kids that got one. I remember getting him for the first time and being so fascinated with a blue muscle Spider guy in the Motu line, then! But this Masterverse Version 40 years later is the next level in design for this figure 👍

Your reviews are always interesting. Webtsor was one of my favorites when I was a child, so I hope I can find it soon. My Grizzlor is on the way but no way to find here in Italy Buzz Off, Faker and Mer Man. I think I must wait some weeks. You are always updated on the latest releases and I like the setting very much.

Congrats on getting Grizzlor, and he is on the way to your country. Faker and Mer-Man are still a little hard to find at the moment or sell out fast online. I hunt aggressively online for the newest stuff. Some figures get released early into the states in limited quantities and show up on places like eBay. Of course, they are more money. But if I can, I will pick them up to try to have the Newest figures to review early on my channel 👍

Great Review. I was wondering how you got your Webstor. I ordered mine from Entertainment Earth as part of the wave 10 four pack (Clamp Champ, Webstor, Prince Adam, and Skeletor Horde version). And they are not coming until October. I just got Vykron a couple of days ago ... Awesome figure! And I am also waiting for my Whiplash and SlushHead from Target also coming in October. Target said that Oct 9th is the official release date for those two.

For whatever reason, Webstor was never one of my favorites as a kid. I feel like I used him the least out of all my figures; possibly because he was a much darker blue and I didn’t have much use for his action feature. I guess he felt kind of clunky and wasn’t “gimmicky” enough for me. But this version is fantastic! I actually really like the pincers on his back, definitely makes him more spider-like. And the fact that you can remove that grapple hook AND plug it into his rifle is a game-changer! I think if the vintage figure had all of those features, I would have enjoyed using him a lot more. The removable pincers and interchangeable grapple hook, in my opinion, have improved this character design tenfold! The light shining through the eyes is also pretty cool! Great review!

Thanks for stopping in to check out this Webstor review already! I remember getting him as a kid in the Vintage line for the first time. I personally really liked the look and having a spider guy with a grapple hook. But of course, at 9 years old, that figure seemed to come with so much and was impressive to me! But as we get older and see the potential of all the newer Motu stuff going forward, like Webstor in the 200x, Classics and reimagined in the Origins. We now expect more! We'll this Masterverse Webstor definitely bring it with the Newer articulation and removable accessories such as those Back pack claws and Grapple set up. I like how they kept the look very close to the Classics and Vintage. But yet modernized better. He is definitely one of my top favorites now in the Masterverse line👍

Probably the best Webstor figure, if you look all his features.

How did you get webstor so fast. Anyways good video and details sir. Man Mattel is killing it for the masterverse line. The gun l thought should have been made like the classics line . Good looking figure for the masterverse line. I never had him as a kid. I got 5 of him from the origins line.

I wish they would have added both the Classics looking gun and the new grapple gun. The Origins Webstor is also really cool. You got 5? Nice, you can definitely army build with Webstor figures 👍

They painted the hook and claws backwards. The claws were supposed to match it's body since they're extra legs.And the hook has to match the backpack.

The Masterverse is changing certain characters or designs, with many of the core characters returning from the Classics looks. That's what the New Eternia line is doing. The Masterverse figures are hit or miss in their designs for certain people. Mattel doesn't want to keep doing the same exact thing with a figure over and over. But still try to keep them close to the original inspiration. Thanks for watching and sharing your thoughts ✌️

Cool video, as usual, this is maybe my 2nd or 3rd time commenting, ??? But I do watch a lot of your figure reviews (Also Pixel Dan for MOTU) I like this figure a lot, but after spending 170 bucks on a loose but complete mint Classics version, I may pass on this, Unless I can get it at a lower price than most eBay sellers right now. I really like that this has a much brighter shade of blue, my classics seems much darker than yours ? could be the lighting on your display area ? Nice to see the various head and armor swapping options and we can get more variety (for those who do that) I rarely do that myself, unless I had doubles of something, but I have no doubles of any Classics or Masterverse yet, But I do have 2 of the Origins (open mouth ''screaming Rage'' Skeletor) one for Origins Panthor, and one for the Origins Roton, buying doubles can get expensive (used to do that with Star Wars Black Series a few years ago when I saw lower prices) So far I have bought 7 Classics from eBay, and 18 Masterverse, 17 Origins, some Vintage, and some New Adventures of HeMan, collecting can be expensive with so many different lines for MOTU, and various other franchises (McFarlane, NECA, SW etc. But again it's always great to see a few (in hand) reviews before I decide about ordering online, Amazon has had some really low prices now and then, anyway have a good day, keep the reviews coming (MOTU, Spawn, and anything else !!! (and yes I subscribed to you a long time ago)

Thanks for watching my reviews, Sharing your comments and the Subscribion! I also purchased that Classics Webstor card for over 100 dollars a few years back! I have most of the classics figures on the card. About 270 plus figures from Mattel and what Super7 made. I also have a dozen Super7 Thundercats Classics and Ton Of Neca figures and of Mcfarlane Spawn and Dragons. So yeah, a lot going on. I try to review or put my thoughts up on most figures I collect when I can. Anyway, I never thought I would get into the Masterverse after having the Classics line. But it's fun to collect more MOTU, and I like the Bewer articulation or just a new variant figure of many of the core characters that can mix with the Classics depending on the figure. I like this new Webstor look and design. Of course, the Classics one will always be awesome because they just go back to that vintage nostalgia but more modernized. Yeah, it might be my photo lights that make the color look different from yours a bit. But some classes can also vary in shades as I saw this with double loose figures I picked up and compared to my carded ones. I always try to do parts swapping with what I can or will make an example with a Skeletor Classics buck, for example, trying on Masterverse parts if I don't have a loose Classics figures to compare close. Pixal Dan usually has all the vintage or classics loose for comparison. But he usually doesn't go into many parts of swapping time. But I don't blame him! That is very time-consuming and stressful because I constantly pull parts on and off figures in my collection, which can increase the risk of breaking stuff. And I have! You should always use a blow dryer or hot water on joints to remove things. But stuff isn't really designed to pull on and off over and over. It will strip or break. Neca and Mcfarlane joints are the worst for constant parts swapping. But I do what I can and only review the figures I really want in my collection. I also always try to be positive but honest with issues or things I don't like!👍

@@Themanchlid Wow 100 bucks for Classics Webstor ? most of the Classics are usually 200 US minimum mint on card, Only see them cheaper loose, I paid 206 for Skeletor Alfredo Alcala Head loose, 220 for Dark Despot Skeletor MOC, and 5 other complete, loose Classics, but that's all, Skeletor is literally my favorite villain of Fantasy fiction, so I got many versions from Vintage, New adventures, Classics, Origins & Masterverse (No Filmation, No Core versions, but do have Core Trapjaw and Battle Cat, I cant get enough Skeletor (Side note, favorite villain in Horror is Lead Cenobite from Hellraiser 1 to 8 aka Pinhead, portrayed by Doug Bradley, Fave Villain of Science Fiction is Darth Vader (got many different figures of him in various sizes over the decades) Tons of SW figures in general too. Fave Heroes ? Batman, Spiderman, Spawn, Fave MOTU hero ? Masterverse Manyfaces, Stratos & Viking HeMan, got those at fair prices, Masterverse are 42 to 55 at BigBadToyStore in CAD with shipping. Got 3 Masterverse discounted to 25 CAD total each on eBay once which was awesome (Stinkor, Spikor & Battle Damaged Merman) Really impressed with how you fixed the eye, that made a gigantic difference !!! but I'm not gonna try that, Gonna get the new one with the armor, Saw your video on that, plus comparing (that's always a big bonus in your videos, comparing to other lines of MOTU and other franchises) You definitely got a lot more MOTU Classics than me, Totally missed out, not even knowing they existed until they stopped making them, That's why I only have 7 of them, and not likely to buy many more at the high eBay prices, plus some Masterverse are just as good, and sometimes better than Classics, but we all have our own opinions for each individual figure and character, yeah Pixel Dan has all of the Classics, (saw a couple videos about that) You got a really cool collection, saw one of your videos with you actually in it, showing 1 room totally filled with figures, and all your Classics displayed up higher, Very cool room, it was fun to notice how many things we both had copies of, and not just MOTU but many other franchises too) I hope you continue being careful when swapping parts, and you're right about potentially wearing out connecting parts, so I dont do that often, and do use a hair dryer. Collecting figures is awesome, but can get expensive, Sorry this message is longer than what I planned, Thanks for the reply and the videos !!!

Can't wait to get my hands on Webstor. A favorite of mine. Dude, I saw a video someone posted saying Mossman origins wasn't coming to Walmart now. but a store In Germany or something is getting it. Or something. Have you heard anything about this? I really hope that info is wrong. I really want Mossman in origins.

Thanks for stopping in to see the review! This Webstor came out really cool! As far as Mossman! He is delayed until later this year in the USA because of logistical reasons at the factory. Maybe there are issues with the flocking on the figures. So they might have to see what the issue is and try a later manufacturer date for big stores like Walmart, or they might change it to a Mattel Creations figure.

@@Themanchlid Do you mean the 200x which had a totally different teeth? (you know that i told you last time, that i lost 1 tooth because of my swelling - Dentist). So its a sensible thing for me :o) 200x and Masterverse are complete outlandish for my taste.... Thank you for not being like some german-Masters-N*z*-KZreadrs because, if they loose a good discussion (and they did that very often against me), they will simply "democraticly" block you. I often wipe their "oppinion"-a*sses. But what we talked last time we have much more in common then them (prices, quality, time, naming problems, critical thinking). Sometimes i feel like mattel is actively trolling us with some design decisions. Good News: Our Grizzlors had finally arrived! Can't believe it ..still!

As usual, Masterverse is coming out with incredible updates to the figures.

Yeah, it's hard to tell with this stuff today. There is poor communication between Mattel and the factory distribution times into the states. Also, I notice when pictures are starting to circulate online figures in the final box. I know they are now in production, or even some are shipped ahead of schedule. So that's when I start hunting online or Ebay and sooner or later find a couple of months ahead of the official retailers ship dates.

@mauelcaballero8877 Anything is possible with these figures showing up at retail distribution at any time. I know when the in-box images start to show up on social media. Then, the figures are in production, and some early samples start to show up or are shipped to certain places like BBTS or private sellers. They get their hand on them like Frank and sons. Then they show up on eBay.

i have noticed that once a figure is out for release online amazon has limited quantities on orders like mastersverse clawful & ram man these were available first week of May, i missed that oppurtunity. But they restocked recently in he last week of them was able to get 1 of each, as they were put in stock again just in time.

@mauelcaballero8877 Yes, the first release of Masterverse and Origins figures has very limited production in the release phases. I think it's due to very high production costs today, and retailers are not sure if they can sell all the figures in a certain amount of time if they were overly produced. We have seen this time and time again with wallmarts, and Targets were Masterverse overstocked, just sat there on Clearance.

congrats, i just cant get into this line as cant get over the joints. hate the chest bend, and elbow and knees. some of them did look cool tho, she-ra, hordak, shadow weaver all looked cool tho.

Thanks for stopping in! Yeah, sometimes I look at the arms or certain areas in the Masterverse figures, and I don't like the double elbow joints and undercut in the muscles! The Classics had cooler looks muscles just like the vintage and Origins. But the classics also had ugly pins all over and didn't have the articulation that the Masterverse now has. The Masterverse feels like a mix between the Classics, 200x, and filmation design as far as figures. Depending on the character. I never thought I would get into the line. But I like something about the figures. It's just being open-minded and not comparing so much to what the Classics exactly did!

Well, SHIT! I'm having the hardest time getting the current wave. BBTS just shipped Mer-Man & Grizzlor. I was able to snag 3 Buzz-Offs (I need at least 5) from Amazon but I don't know when they're going to ship. Something odd about the way they were listed. Didn't have the money for Clawful when he was in stock on MattelCreations. Still can't find Faker or Ram Man in stock for retail price anywhere. Great! Now they're going to make Masterverse a pain in the ass to collect. I was saying that Masterverse is easy while Origins is impossible. So now Masterverse has to start being difficult too. I guess these toy companies just don't like to make anything easy on us. Pfff.......whatever!

The MOTU figures from day one have been a pain in the neck to find or hunt down depending on the wave or figure. I see this with both Origins and Masterverse. The Masterverse line is being cut back as far as production numbers because it's mainly going to online retailers instead of stores. So they are being shipped in limited numbers early. Some stuff comes around ahead of schedule, and others take forever or are shipped in small quantities and sell out. Faker, Ram, man, and Clawful are very popular figures and also seemed to be shipped so far in small amounts and sell out face through pre orders or found on eBay for more money. This is the toy collecting world, unfortunately, today with many figures.

@sci-fi.tsunami Because they are probably not sure when they will get those figures shipped to them and have manufacturer dates available to ship out from Mattel or their resources at this time.

Is the shade of blue the same shade as the Masterverse Hordak?

I just compared my Webstor to my Masterverse Hordak. Under my lights, They are close in color. But Hordak has a much glosser look over Webstor. Hope this helps. Thanks for watching 👍

Thanks so much for another fantastic review. Appreciate you taking the time to show various ways ti display the figure. Always was a fan of Webstor and they did a great job updating him. The head sculpt is great, especially the eyes. Can’t wait for your other reviews, Mattel is really hitting some home runs with these newer figures. Thanks again

I try to show but without making the videos too long if I can avoid it. This Webstor came out really cool for the Masterverse line! I like the head and accessories. The Masterverse is definitely hitting a home run with so many figures coming forward in the newer waves 👍

What's funny is I remember thinking about the same thing with the vintage Webstor toy and character in that show, or different strokes! I used to watch it the time I was collecting Motu in the 80s. What cool with this Webstor design is that you can cut that string off both ends and add a longer piece than tir knots. You can probably find similar strings at craft stores like Hobby Lobby and such!

no more tangled thsts cool i can use for Some Gi Joe custom or ManATArms

Never understanded why a humanoid spider need a grapling hook

This figure is also following more the nastalgia of the vintage design with the grapple being the action feature that was supposed to make the toy more interesting for kids to play with.

Wish I would of got him before he jumped up to $100+

Thanks for stopping in to check out the review! Wow, he's really that limited and expensive now? I paid $ 40 dollars to get this one early for review. I guess his production was very limited with Preorders. Maybe Mattel will do a second release down the road! He is a really awesome figure 👍

A little disappointed. From the promo shots, I thought the legs mounted on the back were going to be a little longer.

I personally like the ides they added the spider legs on the backpack like the Classics. But I also wish they were a little longer as well, just like the 200x figure I showed. That is my only complaint with parts on this figure. Aside from that, he came out awesome! Thanks for stopping in to check out the review 👍

Actually..... I like this one better than the skeletor. His eyes and his look and how you can utilize his utility backpack with his gun thingy will be something nice for displaying. Don't get me wrong I do like skeletor but this one is really a good one✨

That's awesome! I'm glad you really like this figure! I had a feeling you would collect the Masterverse line and Motu stuff. I always like seeing the Muntant characters in the franchise going all the way back as a kid! Sometimes, about colorful muscles, monster characters are just cool! The way you can take the backpack apart or Mechanical Spider legs a modify the grapple string is an improvement over the Vintage, Origins, and Classics. Skeletor is always a favorite, but there is nothing wrong with liking a newer figure a bit more. Thanks for dropping by already! I hope you have a great day👍💯

I hope we continue to see more Muntant figures first! But there's always the exception of He-man, Skeletor, and Hordak figures first because they are the leaders and always cool.
