I can't believe it's been nearly six years already. I'm at the point where I'm nostalgic for Pixel Dan reviews....

Out of all the different versions of he-man, snake armour he-man is my absolute favourite. I must buy them.

I still haven't gotten over that classics was ending. It has definitely been one of my favorite lines.

I think I prefer the new King Hiss. The old/original one just looks too...well... He looks like someone who would be more at home in the first TMNT or GI Joe cartoons than He-Man.

I agree and he looks way too human. I would think that King Hsss should look more like a snake or at least a humanoid with obvious snake features.

@@WF.figures Except that gimmick was only used on the vintage card back and the initial mini-comic and then completely dropped because it was a stupid even in the 80s.

I loved the 200X versions. This is my favorite version / variant of He-Man and I like this King Hssss way better than the original. I realize the original toy was supposed to make him look heroic and then "Surprise!! I am an evil snake monster thing!!" I definitely like the evil lord look of 200X. I wish He-man came with his snake shield like they had in the cartoon. Oh well. Can't win them all. Years ago someone made that shield. I still have it somewhere. maybe it will fit.

It would be great to see 200X Prince Adam get a MOTU Classic action figure form as well as Teela. I notice 200X King Hsss doesn't come with a snake formed torso, Maybe someday it would be nice to see King Hsss again in a single package this time with the snakes torso or maybe if they can make the accessories to be on separate packages.

I love this Snake Armor He-Man, my only wish is to one day get the full open power sword as seen on the back in the bio for him...maybe in a weapon pack along with the missing snake body? They can make it out of a green translucent plastic and paint on the outer sword colors.

Just got my two pack in the mail, along with Ninjor. I love em. Thank you, Dan. You really introduced me to this series and I am so happy you did.

I NEED That Snake Armor He Man. He looks s damn great and I finally need a 200x Heman

I'm a bit disappointed that He-man didn't come with a "opened" version of the power sword.

AshuroS I hated that the power sword opened up like that, heh. But I can see how that would be an nice addition for this particular variant.

It was brought up to me that I failed to show King Hsss' shield...which led me to go back and check and realize that my pack was MISSING this shield! There's an empty slot in the box where it should be. Yikes! What a bummer! Sorry I didn't catch this sooner, but hopefully it's just a weird problem with mine and all of the final sets that get shipped will include the shield for Hsss.

I kinda wish they sold these two separately, because I've never been a fan of King Hiss in general. My preferred baddies have always been Skeletor and Hordak. I do really want the Snake Armor He-Man though. He looks fantastic.

February was an incredible month for MOTUC. In my opinion, NInjor (ahem, Ninja Warrior) and this two pack are some of the very best looking figures in the entire line. I also preferred the Vintage Hiss look, but man, this one is now just as cool in my opinion. I love how wicked he looks. And SA He-man is fantastic. This month knocked it out of the park.

I like the comparison shot between the original Hsss and the 200x version (Pharoh Hsss). It clearly shows that the first Hsss' arms were too short for his body.

This is the He-man Variant I've wanted since I first sighed up for Club Eternia back in 2011.(Your videos did play a large role in my decision to sign up Dan.)

I thought the 2000X toy line was garbage but this look fused with the classics is truly amazing! I can't wait to get mine!

The only MOTUC figures I own are He-Man and King Hsss. Love them. They were really the only MOTUC figures I really wanted. These look really cool, and if I can, I might try to pick them up. Nothing against Skeletor or Hordak, but I just always preferred Hsss as a villain.

How well does he sit atop Battlecat or Battlelion. Really like to swap heads with King Grayskull to recreate that first appearance of King grayskull and Battle Lion in Adam dream.

This version of King Hiss doesn't go with the other Snake Men because the Snake Men are so much bigger in the 200x cartoon.

I wonder how good these figures are when it comes to play? I know it's for adult collectors and such but I really want the Snake Armor He-Man figure. I know I will play with him for a bit so I was just wondering if he is safe to play with?

It depends on what you mean by play. They'll get banged up pretty thoroughly if you go full on smacking toys together like when you were a kid, but otherwise they're quite durable. I know some people do buy them to share with their kids. They do perfectly fine with a lot of posing. If you're worried that they're made from stiff, brittle plastic, don't be. They're definitely made to be toys over being delicate display pieces.

Alrighty. thanks for answering my question. I wouldn't play with them like a litte kid. i would more like use them for stopmotions and posing. I found He-Man seperately on ebay for a good price on ebay. :) but thanks again for answering my question.

Great review. I've never been a huge fan of the "surfer" He-Man look that came about in the 200x series, but that sculpt is awesome. But, now I'm wondering how the body would look with King Grayskull's head on it. King Hsss looks great, too. I may actually have to get this two-pack

You sure he (200X Hiss) even DOES come with a shield? Those gauntlets of his don't look like a shield would clip on very well. Also, can you mix and match both vintage and 200X Hiss torsos? Would have liked seeing that experiment. But wow those look amazing! Especially Snake Armor He-Man, not to mention he doesn't look like he'd keep falling over like most 200X figures.

Most are available on mattycollector.com around the middle of each month. With the shipping they charge from the site, a single figure comes out to 37-40ish dollars.. Because of this, if you look on eBay, sometimes toys aren't quite as marked up as they might seem initially. BigBadToyStore.com also gets them in as they are released, but you'll definitely end up paying a bit more. They seem to have all of the newest figures in stock right now.

Mattel's concept back in the day was that simplicity is the key to success. This is not simplicity. This is busy, like the entire 200X line

+Angel Torres The he-man subscription line lasted a lot, lot, lot longer than people expected. It had to end eventually, lol. The dc line however was retail for a while, but just didn't sell well enough to remain around.

Raquel Charles ya the reason I feel the dc line at retail didn't sell well is because the figures always stayed the same no improvement's always the same body pretty much see hasbro learned in order to sell figures they need to continue to improve their figures make they better with new scalp's and paint apps.

I think mattel would want both the lines to go on forever, but...dc didn't sell well enough, so it had to end, it's not like they wanted to end it. And He-man lasted quite a long time, but everything ends at some point.
