This is probably the best album I’ve heard this year, I know you like Tool and Karnivool so I’d recommend putting on your best head phones and hitting play, the visuals are pretty cool as well. This is Lucid Planet kzread.info/dash/bejne/oq6Y2Mude5DdZM4.htmlsi=iZDyZIH0cQH78DbN

I discovered Kalandra during Covid lockdown in 2020. It was love at first listen and I've followed them ever since. Was lucky enough to watch their Solstice livestream concert from Gidehalen that summer. I've listened to everything they've released and it's all fantastic. From folk to rock to borderline metal they always sound incredible. So happy to see more people finding their way to this wonderful music.

As a metalhead... Kalandra is incredible. Anyone who wants tears to roll definitely go check out their song Borders. And anyone who wants to hear a new type of heavy they havent heard before, check out Bardaginn. From a metalhead recommending non metal to metalheads, go right now and listen to the track Paradise by Yaima. And tell me that isn't one of the most beautiful pieces of music you have ever heard in your life. It's f***king magical my guys.

@@lisamitchem9915 Ayla Nereo is another gold one. I tend to try and start people at the song Tightrope Walker If into any electronic music, theres an artist called Trifonic, with an album called Ninth wave. There are fully electronic wordless songs on this album that put tears on my cheek and i still dont understand it (Ninth Wave, Baalbek, Calling, Forget) Every single track Yaima has from her Antidote album on to now is like, earth shatteringly beautiful for me. You can pick literally any track.

I hear ya. Heilung is an experience not to miss. (Anoana is my fave). Royksopp came out with a new triple album last year (Profound Mysteries) which I have listened to from beginning to end many times. Susanne Sundfor.. I love all her albums and she sings with Royksopp as well. Checkout Wardruna.. they sing Helvegen live with Aurora. Kalandra also covered Helvegen and it's amazing too. Love Norwegian artists!

Yaima - Start with Paradise or citadella (the goosebumps will stay through the entire track either one, promise) Ayla Nereo - start with tightrope walker. This track reminds me sometimes its ok to not be ok In a poppier vein, Aurora (If not already familiar) You can start her music anywhere. If introducing people i tend to put on her album "A different kind of human" first though. I have more if you like these :) Music so beautiful you struggle to rationalize it with thought or language is my jam lol. The world would be a more thoughtful, loving, and mindful place if more people could open themselves up to music like this. This diehard metalhead will be listening to Kalandra, Aurora, and Yaima until my grave. Listening to Yaima has been the very last thing i do before sleeping, every night for like 3 years now and i can't even imagine myself anymore not having access to her music. It became a part of me at the very first listen. It's changed me into a better version of myself to to my core, From the heart outward.

Kalandra has been my favorite music group for a few years now. This song is another incredible addition to their repertoire. I'm torn between wanting them to have all the publicity and Fandom they deserve, and wanting no one else to find out about them so I can pretend like I have a special secret magical band that just plays music for me 😆 Guess the metaphorical cat's out of the bag!

check out paradise by yaima for more magical tingles that will not go away. Or any of her tracks from antidote onward to now, doesnt really matter lol. You will be very glad you did, if you do. It's so beautiful it'll almost hypnotize you. I cant listen to paradise without tears on my cheek, jaw hanging and just starring. I cant read the lyrics in a single go without choking up. That applies to literally every track on the album paradise is on as well. It bleeds truth and beauty. Bit of trivia, Yaima is an old word representing "earth" and it pretty much translates into "that which water flows through."

That is GREAT!!! Do not knew the band before, but i like other genres too, not just Metal. This feels to me like an "epic score" with singing, which is pretty much a faved music genre to me. Thanks for the video! Widening the spectrum of ... hmmm... "music awareness" is always a good thing

Thank you for this, and for introducing me to Kalandra. The message of this song pings my heart loudly. As far as the most beautiful song I've heard in 2024, I would say Aurora's "The Coflict of the Mind" (kzread.info/dash/bejne/aYh6m5OTm5uyZdo.html ). It's entirely different from this song, but just as haunting. As it happens, Aurora is also Norwegian.
