For me it's very heartening to see artists picking up this cry. Kalandra in this haunting song. Romain Axisa's "Time After Time," - "Never too young to die, when the old don't learn the lesson." Aurora's "Some Type of Skin" - "We're good people, and we deserve peace. It's difficult is seems." I think we may save our species yet.

This band is something else. Two things I love, great lyrics and vocals. Her voice is so ethereal and gorgeous, I love it. I only found them over a week ago and I've pretty much binged watched their music ever since, great band & the video is hauntingly beautiful too. More please 👍🏻🥰

Welcome back to this fantastic band! Musically, this isn't one of my favorites of theirs (at least not yet), though I do love the lyrics, and Katrine's voice is always amazing. Please react to "Slow Motion" live at Gildehallen. You will absolutely love it!

for me melodically it is not outstanding. I think it is meant to be a simple song, though. Like The Conflict of the Mind. But the orchestral melody/lift is one of the most moving piece of music (similarly to the one in Wonderland).

I'm totally here for more Kalandra! For more live songs, I would check out Slow Motion and Ensom (unplugged). I know you're not that into music videos, but the one for Slow Motion is beautiful and hit me hard. The music videos for Borders and The Waiting Game are also lovely (not sure if there are good live versions of these songs, but I'd love to see those too).

Ensom is probably my favourite. Cannot choose, which version is better.

Just love this band! Have this on heavy rotation since it was published 🖤. Katrine is a gem! Kalandra is one of my favourite bands, and I listen mostly to certain metal subgenres (symphonic, folk, black, power metal) aside from Nordic stuff from bands like Wardruna, A Tergo Lupi and others. Katrine, Aurora and Johanna Kurkela are probably my favourite non-metal vocalists.

I almost listen more to Kalandra now than Aurora. And I am not ashamed (because she is the best anyway). Every song is favourite. And their soundtrack to Kingdom Two Crowns is just impressive. So rich and moody. I love their harmonies to tears sometimes. Hope they get more recognition and fame.

Katrine wrote the poem March 2022. The song is exactly what it says it is - our observation of the world surrounding us today. The song can be perceived as a chant to the human race, as a plea of peace. A beautiful song!
