realistically you shouldnt use netherite due to being able to get comboed and being oneshot anyways just use diamond (more knockback harder to combo midair)

that's actually a good strat, although for needing to use two slots i think that it would be better to use armor stands to protect yourself, just shift a bit and you are mostly covered

Technically, if you both get the Wind Burst enchant for 2 people on maces, they can probably fly if they have autoclickers.

heres an op tip: if you throw the wind charge (aka. breeze ball) in the air looking up and then hit it, it will make u fly, because minecraft thinks that youre hitting an entity (requires wind charge enchantment)
