Master your breathing with 3 simple drills

Forget about the complicated drills! All these videos on youtube show you perfect swimmers but they don't show you the "simple", "plain" and "boring" drills they do that really work. Even as an Olympic athlete I repeat these basic drills daily. You need to set a good foundation before you can move on to building your house. Try these 3 drills at the beginning of every session for a month and see how much you will improve.
Breathing is all about timing and body position.

    I have always breathed at my right side, but in order to balance out my stroke I am trying to incorporate leftside breathing. I had trouble finding the right drills, but then all of a sudden this video showed up on my home page, and I must say, these drills have helped tremendously. I will definitely keep them in rotation the upcoming months. Thanks!

    Wow, I am so pleased that you are finding these drills helpful. Thank you for commenting and giving feedback.We will always have a side we prefer and that is more dominant however we should continue to keep working both sides in order to get an even balance in our stroke. I will post some more videos on the timing of breathing and what approach you can try as this can also result in reasons why we struggle to breathe.
