The swimming pool where I go to doesn't allow camera.. Can your app improve my swimming in that case. Does the app has diet plan as well? I am just a beginner trying to build correct posture and stamina.

I changed my swimming technique to a two beat kick and a breath on every right stroke like in this video. Over a 1 year period, about 4 months of the year. I can now swim for 2 hours. About 500m at a time and then rest a bit and then swim again. 20 laps in 25m pool. Then rest. People think I'm a professional swimmer now. These KZread videos are so amazing to people who can study something and apply it through feeling your way through different swimming drills. I taught myself to swim from watching KZread videos. Thank you. Your channel and skills and talents channel helped me a lot.

Love this. My kid's USA swim coaches don't even go into this much detail. This is more like the clinics we send him too. Now I am learning to swim on my own and these videos are amazing. 🎉

It is different when you in 47° in Maine lifeguarding.
I think this is the only vedio where i came across class room teaching on board, which is very easy to understand the body mechanics behind swimming.
Thanks for sharing your knowledge and skills with us beginners!🤩

Greetings And Salutations this upload made myself recall when I first got into swimming & triathlons. I actually told my swim meet instructor that '' I want to train like I was an intrepid swimmer.'' Good Luck THANKS
It is different when someone really explain the reasons and whys, I have never understood why to do a short drill swimming with my hands closed now I see the reason , makes sense.
Good job, Fares!
Wow, Thanks so so Much. You covered every single detail in this video. You answered every single question I had. I’ll use this video to practice with. I just know I’m gonna get better at swimming watching this video again and again. And then practising. again and again

Happy swimming
These videos are so helpful. I just started swimming for exercise a month ago, and the breathing technique is something I need to work on. After just one lap, I need to take a break to catch my breath. So, evidently I'm not breathing right. (I'm in good shape, go running alot.. etc.. but this swimming is a totally different exercise!) Is it bad if just start swimming with a snorkel? That seems like it would allow me to keep breathing, and keep swimming without taking break. Or.. would the snorkel-use introduce bad habits?
@raynei

Just keep practicing breathing consistently and you'll get better. Make sure you're also blowing out air when you're underwater.
Fares , please teach balance breathing... it easy ... to do it correctly first time learning . Bilateral breathing
I have a question : I used to swim with one side breathing instead of bilateral breathing. Do you recommend that I continue my way of breathing, or when I do many laps, is bilateral breaching going to give me advantages over side breathing? However, bilateral breathing is uncomfortable because I am not used to it.
Very fast good video ❤
Fares, your tips really help improve my swimming technique. And yeah, water is 800 times more dense than air ;-)
First test to find out if you have enough stability and balance: can you float in streamline?
Really you are amazing 🤩

Thanks. I swim for 30 minutes and break for 10 minutes and swim for 40 minutes and break 10 minutes and swim for 30 minutes. 3 time's at week. Is there bad or good? I am 54 years.
What makes you come to watch this vedio is a lady swimmer today on my lane was freestyling amazingly next to me , i always think i m good but i need more specific techniques 😅
I’ve been swimming for a year now and I would say I’ve learned freestyle pretty fast. Not perfect but I would say my form is really good. What’s funny is I solely swim for fitness/recreation but I’m too obsessed about my form. I don’t know if that’s really warranted. 😅
Nice
What frustrates me about swim technique videos is that the body your parents or Darwin gave you will determine how you should swim. Janet Evans held the 1500m free record for about a decade or so. Michael Phelps's head goes completely underwater when he goes to pull with his right arm. I would like to see a technique video breakdown by body type.
this question is mainly for backstroke, how do you manage to swim straight while doing backstroke, unfortunately i use the roof of the Aquatic centre, but the roof lines are not straight so i always hit the wall or rope. When i freestyle i follow the line in the pool to stay straight. Maybe i should close my eyes and use instinct, but i probable swim so crooked i end up in the parking lot HAHA
@FaresKsebati

Don't worry - we've all been there! You should try to use your peripheral vision to eyeball the laneline, and work on one-arm backstroke drill to even out your pull strength :)

Thank you so much @@FaresKsebati , i just came back from the pool just now but i did backstrock without my arms, kinda flapped them on the side to make sure i dont feel the wall or rope, had some good laps and one that i ended up in the other lane and dont know how that happened HAHA i will try and eyeball tomorrow :)
How would you deal with a very inefficient kick and subsequent sinking legs?
Hand entry with SMALL finger first to avoid insider rotation of the shoulder. And after that DONT fully extend the arm but pull a bit earlier for the same reason. Efficiency does not equal ergonomic!!! Please make a full video on ergonomic swimming!
What is your swimming technique for your height, bro?
I began swimming in the red sea. Yea, yea coefficient 1:44 is important but swimming in the ocean is different.

❤❤❤❤❤
My weakest thing is the breathing
❤❤❤
interesting... water being almost 1000 times denser than air... if i flick my hand , it moves instantly on air. but if i do the same under water, it is very fast too, perhaps 3 times slower than air (never 1000 slower) ... something to ponder...
what about kick?
Why is freestyle swimming called freestyle? I am confused. Can I doggy paddle in freestyle swimming? Isn't front crawl a corrct name?
Can we have more IM content?

I can swim 1 mile easily on breaststroke, but can't swim 100 meter on freestyle and be drained.

1:42 When you're really good at something, it can be very hard to fake doing it badly.
In my case, as I have a massive central appendage, to achieve the best possible streamlining effect, I have to tape that hydramonster to my leg and wear knee-length swim trunks.

How do you know when to turn when your looking at the floor
@coolestnickster
5 ай бұрын
as a swimmer, usually at the bottom of the pool there’s a T looking thing towards the edge or you look for a mark nearby the edge, it’s also a lot of muscle memory so you just kind of learn when, but id say start by looking for a “landmark” of some sort or in your peripheral see some sort of sign that the wall is approaching and then you do your turn into a ball
struggling with all of them
