With this piece, obviously being Greenwood are you not concerned that it will split and warp as it dries out? I just thought I’d ask because I don’t know the answer myself.
Looks like a club to me, to protect yourself while running. Or, you can use it to knock out a big fish.

This is a section of the trunk , not a branch.
I have done many of those when I was a kid :D, but wood is really wet as it seems and it most likely cracking in half after curing. Anyways, wood turning is always fun!
