Great deconstruction of the Sayoc! All Winkler axes seem great but that is the one to get. Thanks for showing it's effectiveness so well!

Thank you my friend! It REALLY is the one to get! My NEXT video will do a comparative analysis between the full size and compact front spike RnD. Should be out tomorrow!

@@RolandoEstocada @markstallman Put it so well I can only say good job to him and I second this comment! I thought after seeing your obvious appreciation for Winkler’s work, you would appreciate knowing that Daniel Winkler & his wife are as nice as they come! Just wonderful people! I got to first meet them in 2001 if memory serves me correctly. When I was 22, I was working in my favorite place to spend to much money, Nordic Knives, when they were in Solvang California; they later moved to Boise Idaho, where they still have a wonderful shop. They are authorized dealers of Winkler Knives, Randall Knives, & Chris Reeve Knives, as well as many great brands, and they have one of the best selections of Custom knives, from the best knife makers in the world. They had an annual knife show with 60 of the best makers in the world, one of them was Daniel Winkler. I couldn’t speak highly enough of him & his wife, as well as Dave Harvey & his wife who own Nordic Knives. It’s easy to do, so if you find something you can’t live without on their website, tell them Nick sent you their way and asked you to give his greetings to them. Sorry for the ramble, but I thought you might enjoy knowing that Daniel Winkler makes knives almost as nice as he is. Thank you for the great video. Best wishes to you and your family’s gentlemen.✌️🇺🇸

@TheGoldenBear79 thank you Nick! I’ve been purchasing from Dave Harvey for YEARS - my entire Randall collection is from Nordic! I’ll make sure to send your regards to Daniel and Karen. I plan to visit them (my first time) this fall. 🙏🏽🔥👊🏽

I want so bad but there just so darned expensive
Enjoying the videos. I have the Winkler combat axe. The thing is a work of art in a hard use tool sort of way. I call it the Master Key or the Knock Knock. Hoping to visit Winkler Actual this summer. Also hope to see some more basic break downs of how to use the axe. Harder to follow without the background. Thanks!!

Sit tight! 😊
The sword has a pretty big reach advantage. What about the bowies? Where did you get them. What is their make/model?
@RolandoEstocada

Filipino Swords are VERY formidable and battle-tested! The bowies are custom from the forge of the late and legendary Bill Bagwell. He, along with Master at Arms James Keating, is the main proponent of what is now the modern Bowie Combatives movement.
Where can I learn these techniques/concepts?

I would try to find a Sayoc Kali instructor, if you are looking to learn that specific methodology. If you want to learn the broader methodology for the tomahawk, email me at rolandoestocada@gmail.com.
what sword was that? who made it?
