Liquidity concepts have made the biggest difference to my trading in recent times.
Before I nailed them down with mechanical rules, I had two BIG problems…
My accuracy in determining the market directional bias was spot on (most of the time).
I would correctly identify the higher timeframe zone from where the session's main move would play out.
So I should’ve been making buckets of money, right?
Not quite.
Instead, I kept getting stopped out on the lower timeframe just before the move played out in the direction I had anticipated.
Fun times.
So, I developed new entry models that prevented me from entering these liquidity traps too early.
My strike rate then jumped up.
But this created a new problem…
When I waited for my liquidity requirements to be met, price would often not pull back to enter me into the trade, and the market would fly without me.
I did all the hard work correctly but couldn’t capitalise on the moves.
This was infuriating.
Fast forward a few months…
I’ve now solved that problem, using mechanical liquidity concepts to achieve the optimal balance of avoiding unnecessary losses while getting tagged into winning positions once the institutional moves are ready to play out.

Hey there, I have been trading for about 6 months now and just about every trade slaps me in my face. Nearly impossible for me to catch more than a few points . I try to do top down analysis and MTF analysis, but it doesn't work for me . I say to myself, clearly I'm in the 90% that lose money, so I open a demo account, do my analysis, then take the opposite of what I would normally take(I know, it sounds stupid but I was desperate) and get the same result. I'm starting to feel hopeless, any advice for a struggling trader?

Your problem could be that your stop loss is way too close or you're watching your trades too much. Place it and walk away. Or you could just give up, trading isn't for everyone.

Don't let them discourage you, don't give up. Trading takes years to master, even the pros learn everday. Never the less, if you lose money no matter which side you take, maybe you need to look at how you are managing active trades rather than how you are entering them, moving stops to BE may help. My advice, find a mentor . And also, try incorporating the use of oscillators or rsi into your strategy to make your entries better and prevent overtrading. And most importantly move to higher TFs(4h or 1D preferably), you'll thank me later .

You're right, I don't lose money every single trade, but my main problem is trying to let my runners run. Very rarely do I catch big moves . Instead they go a few pips in my direction, then go against me if when I try holding them. Also my entries could use a lot of improvement. A mentor would be amazing, but getting one is easier said than done. If it's not too much, does any come to mind?

I think the most important thing you should know is staying away from the lower TF. Also, it's important to keep an eye on the environment too, ie DXY if it isn't doing too well or is a bit choppy, chances are dollar denominated pairs are in for a ride too. In this case, it's probably better to get in and out of your positions quicker

Also, I understand how tough it is to find a mentor because most institutional traders do not take retail traders seriously. The best advise is to get a mentor who has a PAMM account so they trade for you while you learn.

AT 7:04 This is the pattern the market is now exploiting as smart money used to enter there but now it's just a "SMART MONEY TRAP" and you really have to pay attention to exactly where the proximal of the zone to left is that is to be mitigated (See 14:44) and not do ANYTHING until that proximal at minimum is hit THEN look for your confirmation. This should help keep you out of that early SMART MONEY TRAP! THANKS MATT!! You're the best teacher out there and the detail and clarity to which you teach makes all the difference in the world!

Ok mate I made this comment somewhere else on tiktok but i post it here to so you can see it hopefully, I truly no cap cant thank you enough, its beyond explanations and i swear to god that before your course even though I knew all the basics and trading terms and words , I could spot them, I just couldn’t use them all at once and do one beautiful top down analysis to know where to enter , till one of my friends introduced you to me and man, you're saving my whole career cuz I was that 👌🏼 close to quit and give up, I owe him a big gift though , maybe a trip to another country lol, , cant thank you more enough again , what you done is more than the strategy’s itself , you made me to not scare and embrace my loses and just see the market as simple as possible , now as you said I don't say trading is easy but the simplicity itself alone is more than enough to archive in your course , definitely 10/10 and o would personally pay even 2000$ for it , its not an ad guys , photon don't rise the prices lol , just saying it worth it 100/100

POI and inducement especially from (11:13 to 13:30) topic explained is awesome , not like other people who just mention double bottoms/tops and trend line. I think you have actually traded on this concept. Hence, such clarity while others just ask google bard or chat-gpt and made video on youtube.

I decided to take trading seriously the start of 2023 and although I was in my finals, I got my first prop account and got payout twice, lost it and a couple others because I stopped doing what was working and when I get another account, I’m sure I’ll do better because I have worked on my mistakes. Need a Video relating where to apply discretion in the market.
Good day sir, I switched from trading stocks to futures some time ago due to time zone and convenience. I was looking for a good strategy and found your youtube page. Watched several of your videos, really liked what I saw and learned a lot! Futures seems very similar to Forex in how the market moves with large institutions steering things. Question; I realize your group and training program is geared towards Forex, but would it work for futures as well?
