Just coming in for additional info on “B-Roll” it comes from the element in film that indeed deals with main footage shot on Camera A and the secondary footage shot on Camera B. And since back then film rolls were used, that’s how you get the A-roll (mainly talking heads today) and B-roll (secondary footage). Great content as always Jade ! I work in a Film and TV Archive and yes, spot on. The term stems from when footage was shot on film, we still have some films and documentaries held on A & B roll, ie, 2 reels of film that would be synchronised together to make 1 finished edited feature.

Your pace is perfect and one of the things that drew me to you in the first place a couple of years ago - you really know your stuff, and you get 👏to 👏the👏point 👏unlike others where they actually give you the goods 20 mins in... 😅

The pace is great, this was very insightful...

TV news camera crews shoot the main interview between a reporter and interviewee - a roll, then shoot general shots, the interviewee walking for instance,which the reporter could introduce the item over or end etc - b roll. B roll is often used for adding context like graphics

The B does not stand for anything, is the B as in secondary material, opposite to the A material (the main or most important one). 😊

For me, the speed of your speech is brilliant! A lot of KZread creators speak too slowly or take to long on each point.

I think the B roll just means it is secondary to A roll. A being the primary clips with the main character and actions, and the B roll is supporting and filling gaps.

I'm not native English-speaking, but in my opinion your pacing and talking speed is perfect!

I think your pace is great where it's at! If you got much faster, I'd have a hard time, as it takes me a bit to get concepts. 🙃 But your current speed is perfect for me.

My mom told me to tell you that she really likes the fonts, colors, and especially the size of your bullet points lolol. She said it's easy to read and helps her keep up (even though I put it on the tv screen for me).

B roll is the opposite of A roll with is the first footage, the main talking video. B-roll is the secondary footage... A and B is use just as numbering system
