While serving as a detailer at the old Navy Annex I had the great honor of being an escort during the dedication ceremony of the Women In Military Service For America Memorial at Arlington. It was a privilege to meet many woman military heroes that evening. Thanks for the video master chief. Senior chief, retired.

My first CO, CAPT Harold Livingston, is buried in Arlington. He is one of two COs that are considered the best that USS Ranger (CVA-61) ever had. When I had the opportunity to go to DC on an Honor Flight, I called Arlington asking how I might get a chance to visit his grave. When our bus arrived at the entrance, a member of the Army serving there, came aboard and took me off. He then drove me to RADM Livingston's grave so I could pay my respects. He had even visited the grave before hand and marked it with a flag. He then drove me to the Tomb of the Unknowns to rejoin by fellow Honor Flight members. Needless to say they were curious. 😊 I was a Data Processing Technician (DP) in the Navy. I stayed in data processing afterwards. I had the great honor to go hear a lecture by (then) CAPT Hopper. It was really great. A fantastic lady. USS Hopper (DDG-70) is named for her. It is only the 2nd warship named for a woman from the Navy's own ranks.

Thank you! I love the history, I did find viewing that video very emotional. I have been to Arlington twice and that too is an emotional experience for me. I am retired military - Air National Guard - my military career started with the US Navy in 1964, got out after 4 years as a PO2. Keep up the good work, all the history you present needs to be remembered and in this case, especially, honored.

I've only recently discovered MC's videos. I served in the Navy myself and love the this history and stories. 🫡 Thank you, Master Chief.

Another great one Mark. During my last tour before retiring (2013-2017), a trip to Arlington was mandatory for all my new Chief-selects. Your tour included many of the spots that I would bring them to for a history lesson. Be well Brother, Don

Master Chief, I thank you again for a fascinating and informative learning experience. Having participated in over 400 hundred full honors funerals at ANC, I was surprised at how little I actually knew about the place. BZ.

Thank you for this very informative video account of the history of the US Navy in Arlington National Cemetery. The tour made it very personal because of the familiarity of the narrator whom I have the honor to have met and known. Our family is forever grateful for including our brother Hospital Corpsman Diomedes Quirante to this virtual tour.

Visiting Arlington National Cemetery was one of the most moving experiences of my life. I wish every American schoolchild could visit the graves of these brave men and women.

*wipes tears* So much history here, over and above the ones 'everybody' knows. I'd wish I'd know all of these folks and where they were buried way back on my one trip to Arlington (though that was well before Beruit and other later actions)

My father was a pharmacist mate on the USS Kiersarge near the end of WWll then worked at the Philadelphia Naval Hospital for the remainder of his enlistment after the war...he was extremely proud of his Navy service but didn’t talk about it much…..he is buried at Arlington
