This precious patient had massive cerumen plugs creating conductive hearing loss. She was hearing so much better once we were done with her ears.

What a nice old guy. I bet that was a huge relief but I'm curious why his ears weren't cleaned before he was given hearing aids.

Audiologist wouldn’t have fitted for hearing aids if their ears were like this. It likely developed over time after they were dispensed. Thanks for watching!

But they just said that when they gave him hearing aides they could have pushed the wax down. The man said excitedly that he doesn't have to wear his hearing aides anymore

They said the hearing aids pushed the wax deeper. Which is true. After you start wearing hearings aids one of the potential complications is cerumen impaction because they impede the normal outflow process of skin and cerumen. Several times they joked that maybe they wouldn't need hearing aids any more due to the amount of cerumen that was removed. They most certainly still need them.

A gentleman presented with glass in his ears!!! 😮 It's a good job it didn't cause tears in the ear canal or a perforated eardrum especially if he pushed it in with a q-tip/cotton bud.

Oh wow, this is the first time in a wax removal video i've heard the sound of the suction tube. It must be really loud in the ears. Does it vibrate them too?

Was just going to ask why you don't use the medical grade olive oil like they do in the UK....i watch several audiologist from there and they are very good. Clear Wax and Audiologist Associate channel....you might want to take a look see. 😊

Those are normal tympanic membranes. Residual Colace may be there, that's about it.

It depends on the situation. Not true in all circumstances. Water irrigation also boasts increased rate of TM perforations, vertigo, discomfort and canal infections.
