@Dr. J How does something like that come to pass ? We are almost accustomed to seeing such things pulled from mastoid cavities, but seeing so much undecayed skin in a normal lump of earwax is rather unusual.

Great question! A time lapse in a ear canal like this would be interesting. It had to of started with a wax impaction that dried and and then solidified. The new skin layers that were produced kept adding on layer by layer circumferentially making it even tighter.

That must be a relief!

Pt's can be a little sore for a day after but they have an immediate improvement in their hearing.

Some people have dry ear wax some wet its just genetics

Q-Tips make it worse. I recommend using hydroperoxide, letting it sit in your ear for 5 minutes in the bath rub and using a baby snot sucker to squirt water into the ear. It will remove huge balls of wax if you don't keep your ears clean.

I wonder how many patients say they can hear better. Having all that wax blocking your ears must feel like night and day when it’s removed.i also totally understand why ears get so bad. U go to a gp for ear pain they just look and go oh it’s wax pour some warm oil down there . What. Also I do not suggest doing the oil it’s a mess does not work and frankly my gp should have given me drops. lol 😂
