They really need to start making expansion packs or accessory packs a thing. Not just to make sets bigger but to make other sets cheaper and smaller. Like make the Land Rover set cheaper and have the accessories sold separately. Sell the red Fender guitar and sell the black pieces separately. That way people can choose what they want and not feel like they have to waste money on crap they don't need that's been added just to bump up the price

@@joevictor53 I fully agree, so many seat are bloated and therefore expensive. I mean, recently we got that Harry Potter ship and carriage set, which not only feels quite expensive, but by combining the two they obviously had to cut some corners on both parts. Like with just 2 minifigs for each, instead of a full crew. Also, last week they presented that insanely overpriced Zelda set, a so-called 2-in 1, but I bet with either build you'll end up with a huge pile of leftover pieces. It just doesn't make sense.... ....from a consumer perspective. I bet it totally does from a business POV, that this is what's making them the most money. And in the end, that's the only thing they care about. Unfortunately.

Ah yes... you just need $1500 USD...

Far less. You could just get all the pieces for the extra tower bits separate. No need to have all that base laying around for no reason.

I really thought the title meant you could add expansion packs like DLC and add to the tower, like Mordor, or an Orc camp and a black gate set.

Realistically it probably wouldn’t be that hard to come up with the pieces from a personal Lego collection to reproduce that middle segment, so I’d recommend just doing that if possible for you. I don’t have an extra $460 to get a second 😂

I could not imagine spending an extra $500-$1000 to rebuy the same set and only use SOME of the parts. It would take forever to sell off the extra pieces too.

yeah why they dont sell an tower only pack for 100 bucks, i would buy it 3 times to make it insane big. But buying 3 copies, and selling the parts on bricklink, is way to much and complex.

It's so dumb that they don't do add on packs for sets. Not just to make things bigger but also to make other sets more affordable. Like Icons sets where they give you 3 options to build but you can only have one built at any time. Just make the other 2 add on packs and people can choose to buy them

I was bummed to see the silly features this set has that doesn’t match the vibe at all, and the fact you have to buy multiple in order to have the correct scale… pretty bad for a $500 set

The skinny tower doesn't look right. Looks more like a 40 playset on the top not a collectors set. Give it a castle foundation not haphazard rocks with mismatched slope pieces on the side. Not to mention the watered down golum this used to be one of Legos best themes.
