This is a large military exercise with multiple nations and the press was invited. You will still get arrested if you get caught taking photos of military installations (not just jets) without authorisation Greek or otherwise.

If you approach this base and start shooting photos without authorisation, you will be arrested. Note that this was an open day of a NATO multinational exercise, not an everyday occurrence

I love these planes when my husband was stationed at raf bugger just watching the aircraft taking off or being in the garden watching them fly over heaven I still love watching military aircraft & because of people like you I still can as I've said I can no longer go out so I owe you a great deal Thanks a million Daffyd.

Hey Daffyd, when did the EJ-200 engine become a smoker.

Hard to say if I've watched too many short sortie hops or a lot of demo runs as of late, or these birds are stuffed to the hilt with fuel. Looked like some Long roll-outs! The F4's made an interesting contrast to what looked like Ef Typhoons. 👌

The Hellenic AF operates Rafaels, f-16 Vipers, Mirage 2000 and until the f-35 arrives the legendary f-4 Phantom. The Eurofighters (Typhoons) were from the Saudi Arabian Airforce.

Easy to tell by the 3..just by number of engines & Canard placement.. one type has just one engine an other 2 have Canards well close to the wings... I use only 2 structural elements to tell difference.. primarily Canard position & engines..Gripen also has Canards angles upwards too others not so much an has a more prominent ass pipe to it- Typhoon has large DROOPED Canards Verry much opposite to the Gripen ones that are angled UPWARDS. lol!!

ef2000 didn't use afterburner

Suffering from success: the EF2000 doesn't need the afterburner for take-off...

Lol good to see an f-4 in the pack there for some reason, but a lot of f-16s as well..😮😅😅😂

3:20 - Is there anybody who _knows_ what that strange abomination above the F16's starboard wing is - and wants to enlighten us?

Best aircraft there, no afterburner on takeoff with fuel tanks, still got airbourne just as quick.
