I wanna say that literaly just "trying to not be afraid of ranked" and the "losing isn't that bad" already helped me a lot. In the last season, I was so afraid of ranking down that I had 59 victories at the end (I was gold 1), but at this new season, I' m already with 29 victories and gold 3. Thank you a lot for opening my mind and making me recognize all of that

T3zlaGM I used to be a lot more anxious playing ranked, I still am sometimes but experimental really is a good place to learn some new things under no “consequences” and then attempt to apply them under ranked anxiety which could greatly improve their abilities and knowledge of the game.

@@vam_ire1589 i do the same for ranked, but that's because my mentality isn't around elo but instead around improvement as i only focus on my gameplay and my opponents's since i'm practicing to analyse dodge habits and such

@@vam_ire1589 that's a good pun, and even more true.. as unlike other game modes it has faster queue time and u literally have nothing to lose.. so from that i get that people don't wanna lose because it's "for losers" not knowing that high levels players like boomie and eggsoup take advantage of losing as it is a way to improve and cover the hole in the wooden wall with stone

I really enjoyed listening to this and your guide. Even as a diamond player which doesn't really feel the need to improve a lot, you still helped me get motivated to maybe look back and see what I still do wrong

Sick!! I'm the guy who asked at @26:53 ! Thank you for responding eggsoup! I try my best to isolate all my actions (failures or success) whether im in friendlies or ranked 1v1s, and I also try to legitimately think that there are just players better than me, and I'm happy that I got to test my skills against them. Regarding practicing inputs, I've been taking your advice and practicing for 5 ish minutes in training mode and I can feel myself get a little bit more comfortable on placing dashes or chase dodges after I land a hit.

T3zlaGM focus on why the moves you whiffed didn’t land (especially the ones that got you punished) what dodge habits your opponent seemed to have and how you could have taken advantage of it. Try to look where you got hit and how you could have avoided getting hit in that particular situation etc.

just break the replay down, recognize every mistake and write it down, and work on fixing the most reoccurring mistakes first. for example: “i kept dodging in and they punished/read it” solution would be to work on dodging differently. then you could work on other minor things

Unfortunate that all the bloopers from your voiceovers aren’t saved. That would some of the funniest stuff ever, just you going on random tangents. Ps bring back the weekly challenge videos

You get a universal soulfire color scheme at the end of the season 1 battle pass, so you can have soul fire on all present and future legends.
