I'm more interested in Massive Attack now than I have been in the past. This new record is the best thing I've heard all year and although I know hardcore fans might disagree, I think it's their best record. "Paradise Circus" is a highlight of their career.

Fran Arauz Mezzanine is great, but I also love Heligoland a lot.

G summed it up perfectly: 'music for after the club'. As a fan of the 'Dance' genre I can say that whereas MA have of course influenced and been widely enjoyed by lovers of all types of music, I would say that they've greatly shaped the electronic scene in particular and paved the way for artists today such as Burial who keep the music deep and interesting, rather than one dimensional and disposable like a lot of what can be heard at the moment...

This interviewer asks some ok questions in a very free moving way but he seems to not "get" that British blokes are honest in the way we express ourselves, & that he should drop the whole "Radio DJ Host" falseness & just speak as lads. It's awkward because they obviously can't stand this geezer for this reason. Nothing personal, but he lacks personality to put professionalism first.

I half agree, I think most interviews get off to a rocky start, but 3D deffo warms up and gives him what he wants. That said I always cringe when words 'celebral' get an outing...

That's Jian Ghomeshi. He was charged with multiple cases of sexual assault, and although acquitted was fired from the show. He's an ego-manic and likes to hear himself talk more than the artist. He's always talking over them.
