Even if he says it sarcastically and says "I'm surprised" he is still referring to the fact that she *brought* her friends *to* him, with reference to ownership. That is why she gives that rebuttal.

Old comment but Tali and the Shadow Broker have history. Tali tried to sell her intel to the Broker but Fist betrayed the broker for Saren. Tali ends up giving the intel to Shepard rather than the Shadow Broker. That probably made him sore. The Broker intended to kill Tali after she gave the intel to him but of course Tali never knew this even after the deal fell through.

Man, I wish I could recruit this guy! They could've made him a companion option in ME3. As I recall, when you prove yourself to be the strongest leader, Yahg will be fiercely loyal. Talk what you want, but he was an awesome Shadow Broker. Creeped me the hell out when I read that he actually knew how many cigarettes and drinks the Illusive Man had, or how many times he slept with someone every week. Oh, and Legion's gamer profile. I was expecting something about Shepard, like :''Travels all over the galaxy to buy ship models and exotic fishes''. :D

you dont really have to be a shadow broker to realize Legion is a geth, shadow broker my ass,

Essentially if you bring Miranda or Jacob it's a waste of dialogue. Everyone else has a custom response from the Broker.

That part was weird to me. Wouldn't have taken much to add something for them. Handing Miranda to her father, for example. And even Jacob could have had some line about maybe being able to get access to a supply of the toxic fauna from his father's 'exotic vacation' coordinates for experimentation. But nope, nothing.

Jacob used to be part of a secret Alliance group called the Corsairs. Even Shepard didn't know about them, so it sounded pretty shady and secretive. Maybe they should have had the Broker reference that instead of just recycling the same line they used for Miranda.

There's a different line if you haven't done Kasumi's mission. "I'm surprised you brought the thief, doctor. She'll miss Hock's party."

You can tell which ones are the "most wanted" in the galaxy xD while the others are just there to be there lmao

Honestly though, how many times has Shepard been shot only for his shield/barrier to deflect the bullet.

As cool as this DLC was, I found it laughable how the Shadow Broker and his subordinates kept acting like he was some kind of God-like figure. He wasn't even the first Shadow Broker. When he kills a Reaper, THEN he can act high and mighty around Shepard.

The Shadow Broker has information that could topple entire civilizations, even Cerberus information network was dependent on the Shadow Broker. He is a god in his own right.

Damn the Shadow Broker sounds exactly how I would imagine him to sound like. Cryptic, almost all knowing and a deep unsettling voice... that’s natural and not done by a Voice modulator.

I always pick Thane for this mission because the Shadow Broker was responsible for the death of Thane's wife, so it feels kind've poetic, like Thane is avenging her.

I like how respectful he is of Samara and Thane.

i like how he's threatening or underminding the other companions but with Thane he actually shows some respect

I have a few questions after watching this. Does she travel with fascinating companions? Is the Shadow Broker putting a hand on anyone? Is it pointless to challenge him?

"That graybox she's hiding is priceless..." "Hey! It's not gray! Geez, I'm only like 25!"

The Shadow Broker is so spot on on Tali's lack of leadership haha! On Freedom Progress, she is absolutely unable to control her lousy teamates who end up all killed or seriously wounded while on Haestrom, most of her team gets killed. She has a lot of "human" qualities, but having leadership is certainly not one of them! However, the Shadow Broker fumbles in the dark about Jacob. He's neither important nor irreplaceable for Cerberus. He's merely a competent soldier and I doubt that the Illusive Man has a hard time recruiting them. Nice try Broker, nice try. :P

I wish the squadmates you brought along had more to do in this DLC. It would have been interesting to hear Liara and Samara talking to each other. Or to hear Liara chatting it up with Legion. Liara: Legion, after the mission is over, could I study you for scientific purposes? You are quite fascinating. Legion: Shepard Commander, I believe Ms T'Soni wants to dissect this mobile platform. Liara: Shepard, you told Legion about our "conversation?!"

Hearing him constantly say, "it's pointless to challenge me, asari." makes me want to bathe him in liquid information anew. 😤

The theme is so insidious and sinister. It's absolutely sublime.
