Try removing the top of the driver side air filter housing and filter element and you will have a straight shot access to the oil filter. Much easier and cleaner.

starting at the 2018 model year they changed to 10w60

Is your engine diesel or petrol?

Do you know the thread size of oil drain plug? I’m thinking about replace it with a ez or fumoto drain plug for easy oil change.

I just got drenched in oil too. That drain hole is way too big. Gotta be a better way.

I'm trying to think of the reasons the internetz will tell me why you put oil on a copper gasket?

Pennzoil, Platinum Euro SAE 5W-40 Full Synthetic Motor Oil

so take 8.5q oil????

That filter is similar in the chrysler 3.6 pentastar.

Not sure other than the very expensive Leonardo Diagnostic tool. Service light will only come on every 2 years. Maserati/Ferrari Service center will reset the counter for $100. I suspect an Indy will do for less.

2017 came with 5w40 but in 2018 Maserati updated all Levante models to 10w60

I probably should have watched this before I did mine...it wouldnt have made any difference in the gawd awful mess I made, but I wouldn't have been kicking myself so hard for it...
