But Elizabeth's older half sister Mary I at one time was stripped of her title of Princess and forced to be something of a servant to Elizabeth for a few years when Mary I's mother Catherine had been thrown over by Henry VIII for Anne Boleyn.

On verge of brainwashing as it offends a logic. There were occasionally some blacks on the European courts, but not circa every 20th as depicted here . I just came down here to say that! She was raised in the French Court. There is no way she had that strong of any english or scottish accent.

Mary Queen of Scots was taken to France I Believe by the age of three and raised with the Dauphine she did not come back to Scotland until she was at least 18 after his death she more than likely spoke with a French accent and had French mannerisms

Probably she had more French accents than the Scottish :d This is Stewart version of Stuart

When they choice an actress that look like a young version of Isabel... and the other like her older self one gets quiete confused. And seriously their lives were interesting enough to add fiction and embellish some things. Their interaction never in person always by letter is documented enough. Just stick to the historical facts because at least with these two Queens you don't need Hollywood embellishment to make the movie interesting.

the way the film has dramatised holyrood as this dark, dismal, bare, castle built into the rock 🤣 just about sums up the accuracy hahaha remember folks it’s all fiction for the bog screen! if you want to see more of the real mary queen of scots then please do try & visit holyrood where you can see her chambers, her embroidery, her jewels, & the place ritzio was murdered.

Queen Elizabeth 1 suffered from a skin condition and alopecia-that's fact-have you never seen previous versions of this story ? Maybe you would have her more in the style of Jennifer Lopez !!!! Not only did she have these conditions but also could not conceive -shall we shove in secret children she had to hide her inability to give birth . Lets face it The Virgin Queen didn't have much going for her-and Mary Queen Of Scots Son ended up King Of England but we will hide that an call it fake news .Do get a life !!!!!

ThePostbear Elizabeth was actually reluctant to sign Mary’s death sentence. Mary was put in the tower after suspicion that she wanted the Queen dead. Mary was also executed without the Queens knowledge, as officials and nobles believed Elizabeth would have most probably delayed the execution as she was worried that Mary’s son, King James, would retaliate.

Also women were only allowed to vote about a century ago, meanwhile this takes place in the 1500s. Men were extremely sexist back then the point where any woman who wasn't a queen was basically cattle. Don't ignore history just because you want to cry feminism.

Very disappointed..

Looks like it should be perfect for wokery story telling at its best. Braveheart may be more accurate.
