I like Howard "Rambo the Duck" with his gun and bandana haha. Wasn't expecting the infamously bad movie to become a likable character appearing in Marvel suddenly😂

Best use of Howard so far, not being there just for jokes and making him do something. And Karen is absolutelly killing it as always 👏👏👏👏 Great story also, Guardians of Nova and everything ❤

yeah, about the expectations with the rest of the show, it's better to calm them down, it's impossible for an anthology series to maintain the level in each episode. That said, I just hope to have a good time, it may or may not be better than the first season but for me it is a fun show for the holidays

I was just about to post this. I love Nebula, and would gladly watch an entire series (either animated or live action) starring her. And not a short 6-episode arc either, but multiple seasons of 13-episodes each.

Same, I’d love to see an entire season of Nebula in different scenarios. Like for example what if she was never adopted/stolen in by Thanos, but saved by someone else instead. Actually I’m currently working on my own fanfic of that scenario, but I’d love to see a What If take on it.

I can't believe it Nova Prime being the traitor working Yon Rogg and surrendering to Ronan The Accuser at good will is just crazy. Also the Seven of 9 look for Nebula is great. Seeing this alternate GOTG Vol. 1 storyline where Nebula leads The Ravager team against Nova Prime, Yon-Rogg and Ronan was pretty compelling.

I love how Karen voices each Nebula variant a bit differently, like the way Dee Bradley Baker manages to make every clone distinct even though they're essentially the same guy

This episode had a lot of Cyberpunk 2077/Blade runner vibes throughout the episode. Loved the feel of a world known for peace turning into basically Night City due to being cut off because of the shield. I really hope this series keeps going cause all these stories are great!!

Not a bad episode. it was great to see Yon-Rogg again even if it was in animation form. I was hoping he would return in The Marvels but this will do. Animation was popping in this. Can't wait to keep this going for 9 days straight. Really looking forward to the Odin/ Wen-Wu episode. that one is gonna be epic!!!!!

Blade Runner with a touch of Judge Dredd with how the Nova Corps was acting. I am just a sucker for cyberpunk noir stuff so I loved the episode.

A strong start in my opinion. Nice to have a marvel project focusing on story and character building 👍🏼. Actually really liked what they did with Howard 🦆

I’m honestly floored by this episode. Some of my favorite MCU content to date.

What If...? Season 1 was my second favorite marvel TV show after Loki. I was worried that season 2 wouldn't be able to live up. But if all the episodes are like this, it might shoot up to my ACTUAL favorite! 😂

What if season 1 is soooo slept on.. def one of my favorite things from Marvels shows! What they can do with animation… I’m slowly starting to believe that live action just can’t compete. And then this first episode was simply a masterpiece! I’m so happy we get a new episode EVERY single day. This is what the magic of Christmas used to feel like when we were little 🥰

This episode was amazing. I could read a whole series of novels with detective Nebula. Howard the Duck was awesome and we need to see more of him.The cinematography and animation were top tier. I had so much fun.

Nebula DOES look like she was drawn, very pretty. Great episode, I noticed the Blade Runner aesthetics and I love how it’s like murder mystery story. Felt very small scale compared to the “What If” season 1 finale. Brilliant episode!

I personally loved What If? season 1 so I'm happy to see such a strong start to the new season.

my uncle peter serafinowicz was in this episode! he played saal, one of the nova corps. big shoutout to him!

I’m so happy to finally be getting What If Season 2! I think What If is the most underrated Marvel Disney Plus series so I’m really glad to see that they aren’t giving up on this. And man this episode already really showed how much they upped the quality for this new season. Everything about this episode is what the What If series should be. This was definitely an improvement over most of the episodes in season one and I cannot wait to see how the rest of the episodes in this new season will turn out. As a whole, I just really enjoyed this episode. I loved the story, the score, the animation, the cinematography and I really loved the Blade Runner/Noir style theme they went for with this. I also really loved all the characters involved, I’m just really happy that we got to get a Nebula focused story in which we got to see her use her abilities and skill set to her fullest potential and feel so much more of what her character is and what it would be like specifically if she were on her own. Also, Howard the Duck was perfect in this, he was just hilarious. It was also really cool and funny to get to see Korg, Groot and Miek working alongside them, and their nickname being Rock, Paper, Scissors is so funny it’s just perfect. I cannot wait for tomorrow’s episode! I hope that it is as good if not better than this one and that this season is able to keep up this episode’s style of quality, writing, and storytelling.

One of the best episodes of the show and sets the bar for the rest of the season. Great world building, ,mystery, action and visuals. Love The Way They Did This Nebula And Howard. Karen And Seth killed it. Will love a Howard The Duck Movie. Can't wait for The Happy Episode Tomorrow.

Honestly at this point I would take one of those Marvel Special Presentations focused on just Howard the Duck. It's been 10 years of Seth as Howard and he's done a good job with increasingly bigger focus on various projects so I think its time to give him a main focus for once. It'll have to have a lot of fun ribbing of the Howard the Duck movie though. I am glad What If... is back and am looking forward to seeing the different scenarios. I'm pretty much good with anything in this or future seasons. Only What If story I would like to see at some point is the MCU's take on "The Invaders". Have the episode be about Namor going to the surface to fight Hydra and meeting, briefly fighting, and then ultimately allying with Steve. Throw in the Human Torch easter egg from First Avenger, make HT an actual character and we got us the classic Invaders trio!

If the rest of What If season 2 is this quality then it'll definitely be a contender for one of my favorite projects in phase 5

The inspiration from Blade Runner and DREDD made this episode absolutely incredible. Hoping the rest can keep up the momentum.

This episode had an interesting take on a murder mystery/crime thriller. This definitely wasn’t something I expected. We also finally had Howard be more than just a joke character.

karen gillian was SO GOOD. she perfectly captured the energy of a grizzled spy/detective that goes rogue. at first, i was hesitant about the episode because they made her a cop, but i think it turned out alright at the end. obviously, they didn't address all the systemic issues of having such a powerful military police force, but showing us the corruption in it is a good start (also note that nebula, the only 'good cop' we've seen, is no longer a cop)

I just kept saying while I was watching it. This is an amazing episode. This is my favorite episode. Merry Christmas everyone.

This episode is the biggest oath to Blade Runner I've seen in any media ever. That series deserves homage in any form, and Marvel finally is the one to do it.

Nova Prime is actually Julianne Grossman, but she did a great Glenn Close!

Blade Runner vibe fits perfectly with Nebula in Xandar as Nova Corp.

This episode gave straight up blade runner vibes with the ending music being a reference to legion.

Damn ! Karen just bring out the best of Nebula, from Guardians 3 and to this first episode. We definitely need more of Karen teaming up with Howard the Duck more in MCU. imagine Nebula, Rocket & Howard in the same scene !!!

The visuals and cinematography of Blade Runner, the music style of Tron Legacy, Howard the Duck... how is it that a short 30 minutes animation has more cinematic and storytelling qualities than any of the movies the MCU has put out in the past 2 years !?
