I saw people on twitter upset that she was so powerful. A)She was a trained agent before the change, much better trained. B)She was in excellent shape before the change. The animation allows you to do fight chorography that's almost to impossible to pull of with todays technology in live action. The serum only makes you better. I love Steve Rogers, but this makes sense. Great editing as always.

Exactly!!! Steve had just barely begun his training and he had many health issues, and he had no experience in the field (yet). Peggy, on the other hand, had years of experience under her belt and was in good physical condition for combat and hand-to-hand training, and she was already a great agent prior to receiving the serum. It just makes sense that she would be considerably more powerful and ruthless than Steve was. Don't get me wrong, I will always love Steve Rogers, but Peggy Carter is much better suited as a Captain and a super soldier

In the comics he's capable of throwing a motorcycle with one hand and a lot of other stuff Peggy is doing, but because they aren't used to seeing that in live action it's easy for them to just think Peggy is stronger than Steve

There was also the fact that unlike Steve, she got the full dosage of the Super Soldier serum. Not to mention that, unlike Steve, she was already a trained killer. Say what you will about the Brits, but if they did ANYTHING right, it was training their agents to be utterly lethal! One need only look at the late Sir Christopher Lee to know that - He was after all, the Man Ian Flemming based James Bond upon! (One can only imagine the carnage if Count Dooku had imbibed!)

@@Sidragrosm According to the Agent Carter series, Peggy inutially worked as a codebreaker before being recruited by the Special Operations Executive, or as it was also known, The Ministry of Ungentlemanly warfare. Which is historically accurate, they were known for recruiting women for espionage work because they wouldn't be considered threats. She then worked at MI5. Also, I think Jon Pertwee might also have been one of Bond's inspirations.

14:01 "This show is lit! People really die!" As opposed to all the other times people really died? Also, Steve actually did do a lot of the things Peggy did here albeit over the course of 10 years instead of 1/2 hour. It's a bummer Captain Carter is called a Mary Sue or Captain America is dissed as weaker when it was never a competition in the first place. If anything, this episode was meant to show that they were both worthy of the supersoldier serum and that it was their courage and pure heart that made them such a great duo in both timelines. It's just sad people seem to measure a hero by kill count or how strong their power is.

16:02 Nice detail. Notice how she said "mount that", instead of "hit that", acknowledging that Steve is much smaller, and would more likely be in the passenger seat in their relationship. *(Which there's nothing wrong with that ofc!)* I suppose this was a strange attention to detail, but still an attention to detail nevertheless. 😁👌

As awesome as Hugo Weaving was as Red Skull I do think Ross Marquand does an awesome job both playing his own interpretation of the character while embodying what Hugo did back in The First Avenger, the traits of the character are deeply rooted in both hatred and obsession with a hint of ego and both actors incapsulated that perfectly imo

Why is everyone surprised by Peggy kicking so much ass?? She was a highly trained operative, so when she got the super solider serum she was going to be more combat efficient as where Steve was in the Army for a few months and was a skinny kid with VERY loose fight skills. Also surprised there wasn't a Union Jack reference in this episode dispite her outfit basically being it
