In my opinion, I think DC has the brighter future. James Gunn said that story telling is what's most important in his DC slate video, and he proved that good storytelling was a thing with superhero movies in Guardians 1-3 and peacemaker/suicide squad. Not to mention that he's going to bring characters no one's heard or really cared about like Booster gold and the authority. Expanding to other series that could blow our minds like Lanterns and Paradise Lost. A FREAKING SWAMP THING MOVIE!? I have full faith he will do the best

DC hasn’t had a hit in years. Hard to say they have any future. People trash marvel post end game but they had 4 movies (spiderman 3, thor 4, Dr Strange 2, BP 2) that made good money.

I still think Marvel may be on top for the next couple of years, at least in terms of fanfare due to their already established audience and having projects like F4, Spiderman 4, and Avengers. However after that if DC consistently puts out quality content it's anyone's game.

@@gavinchavez91 , except it is not guaranteed for DC; most of GA all interests DC together, mcu is one or two hits away from being on top again. It might be what used to be it's too established of a franchise to lose a nascent baby franchise like DCU. The reputation of dc still burned from 10 + years of failures audience don't even know its being rebooted so yes dc has a bigger mount to climb

It's hard to say this without them first proving they can actually do it, but DC sure seems to be in a prime position to take charge. If CC and Superman end up being great I imagine it will ignite the fanbase with freshly formed optimism. That's what we need right now. Everything and everyone is so negative, we need that spark to get behind.

I’m a DC fan and let’s be honest Marvel is responsible for bringing people back to cinemas big time I have nothing but respect for them, unlike WB it’s really sad they tried to rush things and sorry for my language basically F^cked Up “DC comics” literally my childhood hero’s it’s truly sad but hopefully James Gunn restorers the brand. I still think marvel got some great stuff that’s still unseen plus they have a huge huge fan base unlike us DC fans we barley got anyone all because of the lame movies that damaged the brand.

It’s exciting but also scary because IF it’s nothing special, idk how the new universe succeeds. You are right and WB I think had a huge hand in why the DCEU failed. They had a few good to great ones but so many were forgettable

In my opinion Marvel tells a story With its characters Not its actions in marvel knows that if they put out a crappy movie people will still watch it unlike dc where they are fumbled the bag so many times that they know that if they screw up again it may be the end. The movies. and I’m not saying that. Marvel is better than. Dc but you can only imagine.

I think people need to realize that the DCEU's failure wasn't DC's fault it was the people in charge. I like Snyder but his vision didn't fit a cinematic universe. And let's be honest Warner Brothers kept interfering so a good DC Cinematic Universe was impossible. But now that DC has its own studio and a plan they actually have a chance. I want DC to thrive they are legendary without them there is no superhero genre. Marvel had their time in the spotlight it's DC's turn now. Hopefully the DCU is good I'm hoping they take inspiration from the DCAU. That universe is the blueprint for a perfect DC Cinematic Universe.

Dc's future depends of superman legacy's success, as the film is the studios iron man 1. About marvel this year feige iger and the crew are making a huge damage control (joke intended) after the damage the pandemic and bob chapek did, along jonnathan majors controversy, the lack of control of quality, working on a lot of projects at the same time, bringing bad directorz and writers, studio meddling (mostly from bob chapek) and the strike really caused marvel to hit low. I hope feige and his team fix the issues and gives an over the top phase 6 to finally start the mutant saga

Movie now days only focusing on D.C heros or Marvel heros. We need different tyoe of movie outside of then to watch.

Post end game, marvel had 4 movies that made significant money. DC hasn’t had a hit in years. Even Gunn’s Suicide Squad lost money. Before you talk about Gunn’s 10 year plan and it’s “future” they need to have a movie that hits.

your the only rationale person, who posts endgame Marvel 5 movies that had a lot of money: Spiderman, Dr. Strange, Thor, and black panther. DC Outside Batman has not had hit years; people do go from zero to the top in a few years when they is no semblance of consistency or a track record. Swamp thing and authority might believe critically will they make money? I dont think so, audience shown and time and time again that batman all they really pay for

Haven’t watched the entire video yet but I’d say dc will take the cake. Warner bros is allowing for r ratings. Which means there can be a balance of very mature storytelling (if done right) and family friendly while all keeping the cast the same. Marvel will always stay in my heart, but they should’ve taken a break after endgame and probably should’ve waited until after covid to revitalize and change and make plans. They put out way to much and hurt their brand by a majority that now even 30 something movies in they are probably on the same ground dc is at.

@@BladeStar-uq6xe oof, that's def not a popular opinion. I personally think it's the best Batman movie we've ever gotten except for TDK. DC has made more than Batman movies. They have good Superman movies, a great WW movie. TSS was great and the Peacemaker show that followed was even better. Joker was phenomenal. And we can't forget about shows like Smallville and Flash and even Arrow. I think DC has proven more than capable under the right leadership.

@@Toatekaha Not gonna lie Deadpool & Wolverine is the only thing going for Marvel. The new movies are dogshit. They make the DCEU look like a masterpiece. The Batman saved the superhero genre after Phase 4 nearly killed it. It's time for Marvel fans to realize that the MCU isn't what it used to be. DC actually has a chance now that they have a real plan. I love Marvel and DC equally but I gave up on the MCU a while ago. DC definitely has the brighter future.
