I bought the one my old laundry mat had before she closed down. Gave her $750 for it. Took it home, cleaned and restored it. Had to sell it during Covid things got rough but thanks to that machine it gave me a leg up so I’m not upset I’m just glad I had it and used it as a mini piggy bank.

Yup that’s right! Pretty awesome they made it accessible to everyone. Still more than happy with 1up for the arcade experience. Wouldn’t recommend picking one up unless you have the space and it’s your favorite game

The OG arcade board for this was Sega NAOMI which is very similar to a Dreamcast. Sega at that time realized their 20 year quest to bring the 1:1 arcade experience into the home and then called it quits. MvC2 is master piece of CAPCOM fighters and will never be surpassed. It’s refined enough but still enough jenk. And the music 😙🤌

I had a real cabinet for this game at our pizza parlor I worked at 20 years ago, miss those days. Sadly the buttons and joysticks for these cabinets feel super cheap. And marvel capcom collection is coming soon! Also it’s not on a CRT and the lcd screens kind of look like ass, so I’m glad I get to use my Sony Trinitron again

There was a pizza place right across the street from my old high school that had a MVC2 cabinet. Lot of good memories there. Sadly, they got rid of the arcade machine a few years ago before they moved the business elsewhere.

It got delisted from PS3 and Xbox like 10 years ago when the licencies expired. But there was an iPhone version! I bought it just for the music LOL.

For anyone wondering if you should buy this NO you do not. The controls are mushy and not as responsive as sanwa because they are sanwa clones. Jon D went at great lengths to penny pinch everywhere that counts. The screen lags, the volume goes up randomly sometimes and the online lobbies are non-existent due to horrible emulation and the lag. If really wanted one of these on a budget just get a any of the street fighter A1U cabinets and do a APK install for MVC2 on the A1U since its just a android tablet. Tons of tutorials on youtube and reddit and just swap out the marquee sign for a MVC2 one from etsy. Like $20 for the sign.

A little over 600 after tax, shipping was free i believe. This one was worth it though. Only buy if marvel vs capcom 2 is your absolute favorite arcade game, bc the other games that come with it are just icing on top

@@Void0602 I am very happy MVC 2 is now accessible to everyone and they do not have to buy retro market games at high prices. As a collector I still am very happy with my cabinet, it is definitely a grail of my collection. I wouldn’t buy one unless this is a top 3 favorite arcade fighting game. I really do enjoy the arcade experience out of the item and the art work in person on the cab is amazing. I’m obsessed with this game and still play the cab time to time. And before you ask yes I will still pick the collection up on switch bc I like the game that much and it has the arcade version of punisher on it

No complaints. I think they went all out to make it feel like the original arcade. Only thing I’ll say is that the sound makes weird noises every now and then. I don’t think it’s a software issue. Still runs great though

I’ve experienced issues with the volume adjusting itself up and down randomly. Also when the marvel vs. capcom 2 game fires up it doesn’t sound very crisp in character selection mode. When I put mine together i felt like the material for the wood trim around the monitor was cheaply made and some of it broke off. I might do a follow up video

@@pcharl01 it’s a nice cabinet. I don’t have another to compare to in terms of quality though. Honestly I returned mine for an exchange so now I’m waiting another few weeks to play again. I wasn’t happy with the flaws on this one and am going to see if I just got a lemon or not. I’ll have that video up when I do my full analysis of what’s going on
