Don’t get fooled easily. He kept pushing for failure over and over again and now that nobody really cares about the MCU he decides he wants to do something about it. Tbh I think 2023 was not so bad, we got GOTG3, Loki S2, I think quantumania was not that bad, and then there is the bad stuff, 2022 was wayyyy worse for sure, it’s good to see they’re progresing

I just want Marvel to make movies and TV shows that are dark, gritty, animated and not set in the MCU. X-Men '97, Hit-Monkey and the Lionsgate Animated features are key examples. I would even want a revival of Avengers Earth's Mightiest Heroes and Spectacular Spider-Man!

Very good, on your part Kevin Feige! Admitting that they haven’t been doing well in 2023 had to take a lot of guts, but it’s admirable. It’s also nice to know that he’s fine with the MCU being the “underdog”. Always remember the first step to solving a problem is admitting that you have one in the first place.

This feels like a good sign that shows that Kevin Feige is listening and understanding the issues of last year.

We need a Ghost Rider movie, which is what I want them to release next year .

Well the problem is sony own the rights lol and Marvel didn't, same with the hulk movie although marvel own the rights, but not the Movie rights, so they can't. Marvel is like 87 to 95 percent complete not to mention their name rights. And Marvel is successful compared to WB who has Complete control on DC yet focus of Batman and Superman like lol why create this you have teen titans not WC style.

He didn’t cook Marvel. A lot of his decision-making power was taken away under the Chapek (CEO) period (where they literally mandated that they produce as much Marvel and Star Wars content as they possibly could). Feige knew that was a mistake. He also knows - whatever goes up must come down to rocket back up again. They destroyed what he built when new people came in thinking “we can do anything we want!”

Meanwhile DC ☠️

Such a noble and mature leader. Truly the strongest of all are the ones who can admit that they're wrong.

I respect it though considering the rumors surrounding his desires for Deadpool and Wolverine, I have to question if he’s actually going to make steps in the right direction. I just want to see marvel succeed.

If they want to fix the MCU they should take a break for 2-3 years to figure everything out and focus on characters we actually care about

I agree, but it's kinda impossible. They need income to keep producing new projects and keep everyone under their payrole paid. They cant pass 2-3 years without realeasing anything. I agree there’s definitely a downward trend, but I consider Guardians 3, Loki Season 2, and X-Men 97 all BIG wins for them.

They didn't "fail." We need to remeber thay Loki was AMAZING. GOTG3 was AMAZING. Majority of the failures are deriving from the Disney + shows and the movies that push agendas and make comedy movies rather than Superhero films

I like how they worded it. It doesn’t make it sound like there’s anything wrong with liking and enjoying these movies, but instead sounds like they just want them to be as exciting as they were, with more people excited for the next film

It's like they say, when you're at the top, there's nowhere to go but down. And when you're at rock bottom, there's no place to go but up again. Every wave has peaks and valleys.

Yes finally i kiss the days where the mcu qas actually good. Gives you this goosebumps when watching like gotg 3 was amazing

In my opinion it was a great time to make the mistake, as it was likely to come, this now means the avengers 5 and 6 will have better momentum

Talk is cheap. Hopefully the quality of the current products keeps going considering it’s the best we’ve had in a while. In the end it’s about hiring the right people. Those who care for the source material first and are actually talented and capable of carrying a project. Also lower the cost, focus more on practical effects and stunts as that’ll bring up the quality of the action on screen.

Yeah that's good and all but until they start hiring people who love the source material then maybe. The reason why Im saying this is because they have been hiring people who don't know the comics so they can twist and turn the material, problem is it was butched beyond relief.

Only example I can really think of not staying true to the source material is secret invasion but otherwise they’ve been pretty good at this. They just need good writing and more time to perfect the scripts.

Kevin Fiege: I made a mistake.

I hope that Ant Man get's his redemption movie. No. 3 was such a disappointment they should have let Paul Rudd Co write it again. I'll never understand giving Jeff Loveness 100% control of the script.

I love his honesty here. It just shows that Marvel is still in good hands for anyone that doubted, even in the rough times. It is crazy for me to think that Marvel is able to admit their mistakes whereas Lucasfilm, under the same company of Disney, would rather blame the fans for their problems and not fix anything just in spite of fans. Good job Kevin Feige!

Listen I’m not saying you can’t still be a fan and like it. But you have to be him man what is the point anymore most of you are getting excited for movies and shows that you know deep down will be mid and repetitive like the others. Marvel is literally throwing anything at the wall and hoping it works and only a handful of the things they do have worked out so far. They literally destroyed the multiverse ark and they still want to make Avengers 5 and 6. Be for real my man they should cancel this movie. Because let’s be honest the excitement for this franchise is over. People might still watch the movies (mostly die hard fans). But the overall experience of seeing these movies aren’t there anymore. The MCU dominated the 2010s but it isn’t the 2010s anymore. It’s 2020 and you have to stop meat riding a billion dollar company that cares very little about what you think or want. Let’s be real Deadpool will be the last genuinely good movie of the MCU. And people are hoping that Fantastic 4 works out because let’s be honest if that movie doesn’t break records Kevin and Bob already know that they’re ending the MCU real quick. And none of these fanboys have a choice. So ask yourself as a normal person what movie or tv show are you actually and genuinely excited to see not as a fan but as a casual movie and tv show fan.

You know the problem with Marvel is? Bob freaking Iger this guy ruined Star Wars for me and he was going to ruin Marvel but Feige saved the whole franchise (hats off to the hatman) Hotstar shows were one of the biggest mishaps

See that's how you take accountability not like the she hulk creators saying people are mysognist to say against that shit show

Feige is at fought on somethings because he didn't allow his directors the leeway to make certain MCU fare their own way.
