Another Monday, another episode of the Snap Chat💯

I’m sorry but you guys are my favorite people to watch. Granted I’m a snap player but it’s the only mobile game I have very got involved in. And I found both of you early on and I’m so glad you guys do this. I want to know more about pasta and cozy’s surfing. You guys are brilliant when it comes to snap content but I do enjoy you guys riffing back and forth on things outside of the snap sphere. Anyways keep doing what here podcasts! I will watch every one!

Mailbag - Do you think Snap will ever adopt a hero or villain system? Such as a Shield card that gives -1 cost or maybe +1 power to all heroes on your side, or a Hydra card that does the same for villains. I think this would be a cool mechanic since at the end of the day this is a superhero comic book based game.

We went from reliable discard to reliable destroy 😂

Nico Minoru is easily my favorite 1 drop. Shes a pocket Thanos that only takes a single spot on your deck and costs 1. She has uses in so many decks and in so many ways, shes so not only good but fun. And Supergiant I had a good hunch she’ll be a great card going forward. Any card that lets you control the game flow in some way will always be strong.

The stroongest curve I've found for Black Swan is Ravonna > Swan > Prof X + Titania + Martyr. Zero is also nice to silence attuma on curve. And echo to snipe ms marvel/omega red if you're feeling spicy.

I've been playing Black Swan in Thanos Zoo, and it is a lot of fun. Being able to play Kazar+Stones or Blue Marvel+Stones on curve never feels bad. I play Killmonger, Death, and Caiera in the deck too, just to open up sneaky alternate win conditions depending on what the opponent is playing.

Mailbag.- What is your opinion with iconic teams in the marvel universe not having any synergy in game? For instance, the avengers , the fantastic four, the x-men, the sinister six etc.

I really enjoy the joined list for top cards. I wanna know what advice do you have for when you get har stuck at a certain point on the way to infinite?

I zoomed to infinite day 1 with that super Invisible deck. Good stuff Alex!

MAILBAG: Are the daily missions based on what you play? I have noticed when I am playing a Cerebro 3 deck, that has no 6 and 1 cost cards, my missions are to play x amount of 1/6 cost cards. When I play bounce deck, the missions for playing one cost cards disappear. Am I crazy or is it based on what you play, so you switch decks and play longer?

I love Snap because it's like chess except you have to spend money to use all the pieces

Idk man been f2p since i started in silver surfer season and i miss like 4-5 cards, and you don't really need all the cards anyway tho ❤

As a player in early pool 3, it is absolutely pitiful how hard it is to play destroy without Deadpool and x23

Found Supergiant a good addition to the Sera Control deck. With Zabu, you can play her on 3, then hide Ms Marvel on 4 so the opp doesn't know what's brewing. And that also saves Sera for the turn 5 play.

Glad he mentioned how op trackers are in marvel snap. Cant even explain how much it improves plays when you know everything that happened in the game and its right on the side of your screen

Alexander Coccia. I'll recommend you a game similar to Slay the Spire, which I like even more. It's called Breach Wanderers. At first I thought it's just a clone of StS, what can you expect from this, but turned out for me it's even better. Alongside with regular cards you can choose monster cards to add to your deck, which gives you more decisions on which path to choose (I rly want this card from monster X, so I'll choose this route). There are lot of cards you can make a starting deck of (not just Strike/Defense, but pretty unique ones) and also you can make a pool of cards from which cards will be offered to you (StS example - if you want to play poison build, you can simply drop all Shivs cards and you won't face them in your run). There is also a weather, which modifies fights and gives you unique cards. Overall that's a great game so you can try (or at least put in a long list of "games to play" xD)

So, it's not anything new to use a new card with an already established deck, but i do think Black Swan works well in Annihilus Bounce. Throw in Werewolf and you have multiple options. Play BS on 3, then Werewolf with however many 1 cost on reveals you have, then you can Annihilus on 5, or go greedy and Sentry on 5 followed by Annihilus on 6. I think she adds an additional playline or two for that deck. Not completely necessary, but fun and a 3/5 doesn't hurt.

Mailbag: Hey guys huge fan of the Snapchat Podcast, just like you I never miss an episode. I had 2 questions or segment ideas: 1: What are some card “nerfs” you would like to see that are actually buffs? (For example I’d like to see Wong go to 1 power to fit with both Zabu and Ravona). 2: Would you guys ever consider a segment at the end of each season where you you look at the thing snap sends to review the season? (Favorite location, most split card etc.).

MAILBAG: Destroy has always been my favorite archetype in snap. Alex and Cozy, do you have any tips for destroy players? (I know Cozy loves Deadpool with Forge!) Love the vids! Excellent video to wake up to today. Been binging the Snapchat.

I cannot believe that Echo isn’t in the top 10. She’s so slept on. You can always go mid or prevent a Ironman/knull lane. I pick her over rogue so often. But also if you have initiative, turn 2 predict their zabu lane. Probably one of the best feelings in snap.

Black swan works very well in an ultron patriot deck with E.Maw, Zero, and Titiana.

Mailbag Question: I love that Cozy said "RIP Cerebro" cause I've been trying to play my old C2 deck for like the last month and its just absolutely a dumpster fire. So many cards and field's giving/taking power or giving you random cards that mess up you're playline. Also they killed Luke Cage for C2 and C3 decks which used to be a slight saving grace. What do you think they could do to buff Cerebro decks so they are actually viable?

MAILBAG: It's been a while now, but the Spider-man change made it so that all Spiders have some kind of Move effect, do you wish this was also the case for other characters/group of characters? Goblins change sides, and Symbiotes destroy, Hulks use energy, and so on... Can you think of a group that currently doesn't have this treatment?

Kraven and Kingpin are Spiderman villains with move text as well. They can't make Doc Ock move cards with his arms tho cuz that's a Magneto. Lizard, Shocker, and Electro are just chilling doing their own thing tho.

They tried it early on with like the Guardians of the Galaxy. Or X-men being almost all control cards. It's just harder to do than you'd think and I think they try but it's just not gonna be a hundred percent thing. ​@@superluigiac

Your not alone cozy, every time I click nico to see her ability after I draw her she jumps to a location. Usually the right one.

For the mailbag: do you think there's a better way of offering variants? With so many cards in the game - most of which have multiple variants - I feel like even the expanded variant store is too small now and as more cards/variants are added that's only going to get worse. There's well over 1,000 variants released let alone all the unreleased ones, so only having access to 8 random variants per day can make finding the ones you want almost impossible even if you have the resources to buy them.

MAILBAG: You guys think they will ever make the Amalgamation characters for snap? Or are there too many copyrights in place?

So sad to see Kitty not make a top 10 list when she used to be such a consistent source of power. Give her back her +2 per bounce. Elsa is already dead, bring back kitty!

I love Cozy and Alex, but their comment “He is a 1-drop what can they do, have him be a 1/-1?” was mind-boggling. There are so many things they could do. They could go +4 if they still want big Deadpool’s or go with +2 if they want him more inline with Kitty. They could move him to 2-cost. They could find a way to cap him…

I honestly think Deadpool should be a 2/2 card or capped at 16 power.

Gotta have a beach episode of the Snapchat where Cozy is teaching Alex how to surf.

I was least excited about super giant….so far she’s been my favorite out of the season

There's lots of pretty good Slay the Spire inspired games! All untouchable to the OG but still fun and sometimes different in a good way!

Heres a thought. When Pixie comes out, i see some synergy with black swan. It sets the costs to 0, so it doesnt matter what pixie changes the costs to. I see like Pixie, Mobius, Black Swan, and some one drops and some pay offs.

Nice idea, but a problem is if those 1 costs are switched with... other 1 costs, the benefit might not be realised, so you might not want too many 1's in your deck. Still think Mobius will be her best friend, if things aren't changed.

@RickReasonnz so it's going to depend on how it's coded. If it's coded as a cost increase or decrease similar to how other cards work. Black Swan would still allow you to play your one costs for 0 even if they swap with a six cost. It's an alternative to mobius if you don't draw him. Not as good, but it still allows you to play out your one costs.

@@San12B Oh no, what I mean is if you're banking on having your high costs swap power with your 1 costs, but you have so many 1 costs that they essentially swap 1 cost for 1 cost, then it's a waste of Pixies usage.

I'm going to keep pushing my Guardians/Rocket agenda: They REALLY should just buff all of them by rewarding an additional 1 for hitting their on reveal. That would help elevate Jean as a bonus. Gamora is fine. Mantis I'm not sure what to do there, and as far as Rocket: people say he is fine but why would anyone use him? He needs that +1. He wasn't even an honorable mention. I'd even take a 1/1 Rocket that is +4 if he hits. Makes thematic sense too as he's just a lil guy but when he's expecting you he pulls out his cartoonishly large gun.

Tbh, Black Swan's really been shining in Surfer for me. Occasionally she'll get me free 1 drops on turn 5, but mostly she's just a 3/5 vanilla. Helps fill the void that Maximus left.

Supergiant and Attuma. My favorite combo by far as still no one is putting any respect on Attuma. Let’s be real as well: they never see him coming. Also hiding Shadow King is just beautiful

@AlexanderCoccia MAILBAG (maybe): I'd love to hear you guys comment about some of the early year "features" directly contradicting some of the things that Second Dinner said they are trying to do. Specifically I'm thinking of the new album release with 9 brand new variants that no one owned, and the Carnaval "Event" that was barely advertised and requires you to open your news tab. Love this game but, I don't want these things to keep sneaking by without people noticing, I think its important to fulfill the promises you are making to your player base and want to know what y'all think their next steps should be.

A nerf to deadpool could be each time this is destroyed gain +2/+3 power

Swan has been the best buff to my personal bounce list since they nerfed Angela. I don’t know how people aren’t getting value from her…

mailbag question: what do you guys think of the state of conquest? would you rather they change it up with new rewards or different gameplay mechanics or add a completely different game mode?

Mailbag: I know you have talked about this before, but do you think they ever will change what we get out of the collector's reserve? (for the better?) I have 200+ that i have no desire to open since the value that i can get from them is so much worse than what it used to be back in the days.

@MailbagQ - How is it that there are non spotlight cache cards that come out of spotlight caches? Example - I spent 3 keys to get Cull. Keys 1 & 2, I got the variants. Key 3 I got Lady Deathstrike who I already have and she turned into 1000 tokens. Problem I have is that not only am I still on the first page of the spotlight banner, but LD is a 3k token card, shouldn't I get 3k tokens? Can't they put these kind of pulls in the regular collector boxes and leave the spotlights alone? I know you guys don't work for them or anything but you are able to amplify issues with the game and I think that burning people who have done their part to get the cards they want needs to amplified.

Mailbag- What's your take on the changes to the datamines? I've seen a lot of people seemingly upset but I don't get why. As far as I know, the only change is that they aren't releasing the bundles beforehand. rip bundle value videos. They are still putting the new cards, we saw them on Cozy's side and the spotlights are show on the official website.

Deadpool change 2/1 would hurt this card some

Agreed. Deadpool's ability shouldn't be so cheap and is the obvious adjustment if SD does anything. SD has proven unafraid to kill cards multiple times now.

MAILBAG: To celebrate the Power Couples event, who's your favorite Marvel couple?

Slightly change the effect. Give it +2 when it is destroyed instead of double its power. still would be insanely strong.

Question for mailbag: do you guys think they will ever drop another card without an ability, personally I’d love a new high evo or patriot card

I unlocked Supergiant on Saturday and when I clicked to make the auto deck, it gave me Alex's deck.

MAILBAG: Options for DEADPOOL NERFS: 1) 2-cost.... you actually have to pay to get him down for a power double - removes the Knull/Deadpool play on 6. 2) power cap (up to 12 power, etc)... just a simple ceiling without having to do anything else to the card. 3) resurrection limit (can only resurrect 3 times, etc)... probably the least likely, but pretty interesting for both players to keep up with.

Or when u destroy +2 power, and nerf nico to having less spells and x-23 has a regenerate effect after it gets destroy so u have to wait a turn.

I mean yeah, if Deadpool is the problem, the nerf needs to happen to Deadpool. Otherwise it's like you're saying... they'll keep messing with like 4-5 other cards to try and get 1 card that isn't those under control.@@nathenjake8357

Don't like the dismissal on the Variant problem for new cards. If you didn't spend so much money on the game and have as many keys as you want I assume you'd feel the same way. I get your statement about less known characters, however its moved to basically no variants unless its a Hipp, and even those show up in Spotlights now

i just wanna say Uatu is underrated. been running him with Quake in a Thor deck, has allowed some interesting plays. i also ran that deck with Adam Warlock for a while but the problem is that i was drawing too many cards and couldn’t Jane both my hammers. about 50% of the time i would draw at least one card with him now to be fair i stalled in the 80s with this deck, switched to an Annihilus and Darkhawk deck and climbed to the 90s somewhat easily. but that was after i removed Adam Warlock, so maybe i should put him back in
