Damn, Select Thanos is a Big Chungus. I dig it.

I pose the select with my Marvel Legends because it definitely scales better. You can use the scene from Endgame where Cap upper cuts Thanos with the hammer for reference. Cap is around the height of Thanos's leg, give or take a few inches. That being said, the Figuarts is way to small for the Marvel Legends scale because Cap comes up too close to his chest.

I think the Legends Cap looks perfect next to the Select Thanos. Thanos is supposed to be huge and scary.

The marvel select thanos is great I bought him and nano gauntlet hulk They are the same size

Honestly when it comes to an accurate, Legends scale Endgame Thanos, I'd use the ZD Toys Thanos. Just customize it a bit, and it's perfect. Same for their professor Hulk. You should really check them out. They're like 25 bucks a piece. More or less.

Dammit man! This is going to be the second time this week you're going to make me buy a Marvel select figure! Didn't think that I needed that Thanos but now I do!

Marvel Select did not release an Infinity War Thanos I guess making the I.G. was their way to make it for both movies sinse he had the armor and the gauntlet when he was fighting Hulk at the beginning of Infinity War. Now, for the Endgame, I wish we had a head without the helmet, that would've been perfect, Marvel Select is the Thanos to go with, I love it.

I agree. About the black boots it is easy fix. Just paint them with a sharpie and boom! I also consider use the ML head with the angry face is an alternate head. Works great. I had one laying around because it came with Hercules and I did not put the BAF together so it was a great plus. Great video man! Stay safe.

I chose SHF thanos, because marvel select don't have many of end game figures

Looking at the movie fight scene, legends looks good next to the select Thanos. He's about half his size.

When thanos was on 1 knee he was almost eye to eye with thor. Just under

I love my shf, honestly don't care if it isn't accurate to any scene, still love how he looks. DS looks great too. I like clean and dirty looks for things like troopers or jason hockey masks, so I like both for that reason. DS figs recently have had legs that are too long for sure, on some figs. And the head is a bit small but your right the sculpted details on the DS look great. Awesome review!

The legs on the marvel select definitely make him look a little lanky, anyone have any ideas on how to shorten the legs without destroying the figure?

I just rewatched the last battle between the two characters, and honestly the select Thanos and the SHF cap look accurate to me

I had both the SHF and the Select. Both great figures, but I ended up selling the SHF and keeping the Select. It’s just an overall better, more accurate 1/12 scale Endgame Thanos. The only issues I have with it are the black feet, and some paint rub on some joints. Other than that, it’s an amazing figure. Great comparison video!

Great video, thank you. I think the marvel select Thanos has skinner and longer thighs. That’s why the look is a little off I think. But in past figures they’ve made of Thanos. they usually make his legs too big and they look fat. If I had the choice of getting the two I would definitely get the marvel select channels. The price difference is way too much for essentially better accessories and multiple head scopes. By seeing just what you put in here for the comparisons. The marvel select has equal amounts of detail. Once again thanks for the video and helping us all make informed buying decisions…

Does the red gauntlet from the select hulk fit on the select thanos?

I mean u could use the figure arts one for the beginning of infinity since he did wear the amor plus the gauntlet 🤷🏻

People often sleep on Marcel Select. I often find their Disney Store Exclusives to be their best work.

Also I think the angle you're shooting from is making the MS one look longer in the legs.

Thanos has a height of 8'3” (2.52 m) in the Marvel Cinematic Universe and 6'7” (2.01 m) in the comics. So honestly.... I think I could make the Select Thanos work with the Legends Cap.

personally SHF, the quality is why i got into collecting SHF. they always have a clean appearance doesn't matter what character they do anyway, so i got used to it.

I own the select and i think proportion wise it is correct, it's the skirt piece and how the leg armour doesn't reach up all the way to the leg, that's what it seems anyways

....Aaaand of course now the Select version goes for more than the Figuarts version lol

the figuarts neutral face sculpt reminds me a meme....

I agree Select wins by far, better accuracy, better details, better (necessary) accessories. Also, better paint. Sitting poses easy. Height difference is good.

I guess now you should compare sh figuarts endgame thanos final battle and diamond select thanos 🤔🤔

I like DST. They trying to give so much in this pricepoint with obvious limitation.

U should get the Takara tony thanos upgrade set for the shf

I just compared the shot of Cap whacking Thanos in the face with Mjlnor, to your figure height comparison. Thanos is almost twice Captain Americas height. The guy really is that huge in the film. Marvel Select Thanos is almost perfectly in scale to Marvel Legends Cap, the others are too small.

You're right on. I argue this with collectors all the time. I've said over and over that hulk is 9-10ft in the movies. Thor is 6'5 in the mcu and he was at hulks chest and hulk had thanos by couple inches in infinity war.

Ik this comment is a year old but your right, I just checked cap vs thanos frame by frame and thanos looks twice his size

I agree that the legs are too long in the Select figure. Do somebody knows if you can swap the legs with the Marvel legends thanos? The figuarts face looks more like screen accurate (Josh Brolin).

The thing some ppl r missing is the ML smarthulk in 8.5inches in the movie thanos was actually as tall if not taller then him and dont forget when cap grabs thanos hands is took both hands and cap was holding his fingers in infinity war so one could say the marvel select is more accurate for ML but then again I could just be trying to justify me buying the MS for ML lol

The only thing I dont like about MS Thanos headsculpt is his lip.He wearing lipstick.I think it look much better without it.

Yeah that's huge but that's still only about 2 feet taller then Cap. The Select Vs Legends is a little more than that but still it works for me.

the sh thanos is so clean because is not the final battle version

The size of the marvel select thanos is definately accurate with the marvel legends figure, the sh figuarts thanos has always been too small even with it's own line

Shf is an okay $100 figure while DST is a great $25 figure

In the films honestly Thanos varies slightly in size throughout different scenes, so I think both figures work for scale. The only things that seem to be important in terms of scale are 1. Noticeably bigger than the regular sized people 2. Still smaller than the Hulk.

Just kind of sucks in terms of comparison considering the Select one almost has the exact same range of motion with its single jointed elbows as the Figuarts, has a diaphragm joint that actually rotates unlike the Figuarts one, and (correct me if I’m wrong) the Figuarts one actually gets worse range of motion when both of their knees are bent as far as possible.

I don’t get why the Select only has an open hand for the gauntlet like who tf thought that was important if you’re only gonna do one gauntlet hand, do a fist or a snapping pose

While Bandai’s Thanos has better articulation and overall much cleaner painted, and sculpted details, Diamond Select’s Thanos is much more accurate and cool. Diamond Select recreated the sheer presence and evil of this character much much better.

I can't believe nobody mentions how the S.H version of Thanos' arms drop down from their sockets, making the top of his shoulders come down to his mid chest. It looks AWFUL. Why does nobody talk about it?

Actually Thanos is about 8 feet tall without his armour A bit over 8 feet when he has it on Iron Man stands at about bicep height compared to armourless Thanos,and since Tony is a bit taller than Cap when he's in his armour,it kind of makes sense that Cap stands at about elbow height when Thanos is wearing his armour

Actually the shod is accurate but it’s accurate to the beginning of infinity war(minus the gems)
