Man this figure scales perfectly with legends, definitely picking up. As a modern figure collector, I much rather prefer this design than the Walmart exclusive but still want that one as well

Maulyki McCork I think it would be more fair to compare this Select modern Thanos to the Legends Movie BAF Thanos, since it looks more inspired by the movie than the classic comic Thanos.

I just got this guy in the mail from the disney online store today! Such a beautiful piece. It’s such an interesting mix of design for thanos I see both comic and movie qualities together in this figure.

Color and some design aspect looks like Thanos On Throne by Sideshow.. Looks dope

I just bought my own Disney Store (You can also find the figure @ DisneyLand & DisneyWorld too) just mere hours ago he is my first Thanos I have ever owned...and I love him.I notice the scuffs on his breastplate that you mentioned, and instantly took it as battle scars his armor had taken.. I LOVED THAT DETAIL..we just officially got ours in the Disney Store out here in L.A. this today..so I have great action to find a couple more to add to my budding Thanos collection. -Aires Warchild

Nice review! I like that he’s in scale with Marvel Legends. I feel like every DST figure you’ve reviewed recently gets real wobbly after you mess with the articulation. They need to fix that.

Obviously when this came out we didn't know, but looking back this would make a great Endgame Thanos. He has the armor and a head without the helmet. If he came with the sword it'd almost be perfect in my opinion

Just saw this guy in a Disney Store in Italy (vacation) and I instantly went for him.

When you see this figure:*This puts a smile on my face* music plays and you place the figure with your other Thanos figures

Even though it's a short thanos figure it has outstanding sculpt and paint and articulation

This figure looks awesome! I really wish his eyes were blue rather than red though. The red is sorta cliche evil but blue is like, cosmicy I guess. Great review Shartimus!

Really nice detail on this piece. Not a huge fan of the face, probably just because I love the classic Thanos look so much. Also, props for doing a top review even though you’re under the weather - one of my favourite recent stop motions too! Cracked me up! Also also, recently ordered the infinity war wave of Marvel Legends so I can’t wait to add that build a figure Thanos to my collection - I may even bring him along to see the movie at midnight on the 25th... who knows Cheers for the great review as always

The pictures and marvelous news didnt really do this figure justice..it looks WAY better in your review than the still shots they posted...might have to get this guy now that I know its not totally lame. THANKS!👍

I think Diamond Select made a conscious effort about a year ago to start scaling down to the "lower end" of the 7 inch scale. Netflix Daredevil, Spider Gwen, Lady Deadpool are all a bit smaller than a traditional Select. And I suspect they did that to either cut down on material costs or so that they could appeal more to 6 inch collectors. Notice here that Shartimus even says this Thanos may replace his Legends one. I'm sure many more people think that way, too!

I got mine today and I love it, yeah it's more Legends scale... but that's not a bad thing. He makes for a good cheaper MCU SHF movie Thanos since the SHF's look great with him.

On the height issue, I think "don't quote me lol" but isn't Thanos suppose to be 6'7"? Scale may not be to far off overall. Just my opinion lol:)
