Every time Hickman cooks Rob is the first one to show up with his plate.

I enjoy the Magic that Dr Strange deals with so much more than the magic that the Excalibur team deals with. Strange’s world has that grit & nasty feel to it. What they’re building here sounds very interesting. I love when classic cosmic figures are treated with respect. Good to just hear the Living Tribunal’s staff brought up alone like an rpg artifact.

So good to see The Elders again. It’s about time that someone showed The Contemplator and The Possessor some love. I grew up reading about The Elders in The Silver Surfer run.

At this point, Hickman might as well be the one above all. His writing style of referencing and building from his old work basically creates a timeline of its own. The Hickman timeline never gets outdated since he's always called back to retcon elements within the Marvel universe

There's a lot of stuff thrown at us in this comic that it's hard to fully understand everything happening but it's so cool

I'll read any of Jonathan Hickman's greatest works. From Dark Reign, Secret Warriors, Fantastic Four, Avengers/New Avengers, to Secret Wars 2015. But Marvel G.O.D.S is interesting.

He was 3 steps ahead on everyone this entire story

Man the Inhumans jokes are top notch

With Thor and Hulk runs combined with this, I’m pumped to see the new cosmology.

I want to know what the crown thing was and what it has to do with all this, and The Lost One because they did make an obscure beyonders reference. It's not like they aren't giving us clues because I assume the writers share their ideas with each other for the sake of future continuity. "The One Above All" might just become "The One Above Most". I think these beings are "The Crown" and they are representing some even greater being that wears this crown.

I love Dr.strange but this Constantine clone seems really cool. I'm interested to see when where and how marvel will use him. Will he be regulated to cameos and main events or will they give him his own series.

It feels to me that Marvel is pulling up the Elder Gods to the front again. Thor is apparently dealing with Elder Gods on his current run, Scarlet Witch absorbed Chthon and he will certainly be free in the future (maybe that’s the Babylon Event as Chthon is the Greatest of the Great Old Ones), the creation of a new Darkhold by Agatha Harkness in Contest of Chaos. All of this seems to be connected to me.

The comic is really good and fun too! You're also absolutely right Rob, the first glimpse I had of this new character I just went "That's John Constantine." and honestly that's good -amazing if not, marvel having someone as spontaneous and unbalanced as John C. can get pretty fun and crazy just like the comic has shown 😮

This first issue was a good read, but unless I'm remembering wrong this was all the bits put together from appearing in other comics. There are characters I think would have fit some of the non avatar roles just as good instead of making new ones. But either way I would like see some of my favs like Selene, Saul and Candra in this. I don't think it'll happen given they were left out of pretty much most of Marvels magical events, and they got their own things going on at the moment. But I'm still hoping they'll at least be seen in the background somewhere or mentioned.

I'll never get tired of Rob just taking a shit on Inhumans, LoL.

As soon as you were talking about the Collector surviving Secret Wars and the reforming of the multiverse reminds me of the MCU clip when the Collector's ship left one black hole to travel to another. Universe hoping. Almost like he went on vacation in the MCU while Secret Wars happened in the comic lol.

What Hickman did with Moira had me wondering. The Library gave me a clue. This new guy convinced me. Hickman is a Ryukishi07 fan and I love seeing elements of Umineko in Marvel! Rob if you want a glimpse into what Hickman has in mind you gotta read Umineko! I mean Wyn is the spiting image of Willard H. Wright! Not a ripoff by any means but with everything else its certainly the same flavor. If you're not a fan of both you probably don't see it or in other words not my own; "Without Love it cannot be seen"

I just watched a video with Hickman at NYCC today talking about G.O.D.S and it got me more hyped for whats to come. Paraphraseing what he said. It was about making sense of all the cosmic weirdness of the 80s Marvel or so. Making it all make sense or so. And the marriage of science and magik. Just, the way he spoke of it had me the most exited about comics in a long while. Edit: "useless genes". Inhuman slander makes me smile.

Nimue, whom Malory refers to as the "principal Lady of the Lake," is a key figure in the Arthurian court throughout the novel. The character’s first appearance HickMan is pulling a lot from this story and the Spider-Man story, and I believe we might see an Arther PenDragon.
