For real. If you go watch the old episodes, you’ll see plenty of small errors between frames. I had an old X-Men VHS back in the day where the colors of Cyclops’ suit turned yellow randomly in one scene. I remember that happening with the Ninja Turtles’ masks all the time too.

getting up early on saturday morning with a bowl of cereal is the only way to watch this.

What I love, is that literally it seems like it literally come out in 1997. Literally the animation (I'M talking on how they moves not how they look which would be technically the art), the promo, and everything. Despite growing in the 2000s-2010s. The animated series of the X-Men as well as the other shows from that era were always my childhood. Thankfully that could made the return of the Marvel Animated Universe. With Spider-Man, Iron Man and others eventually getting revivals of their shows as well.

This looks so insanely great. I can't believe it.

Too short of a line to judge the full voice work but it sounds like OG Gambit to me even though it’s a new voice actor. OG Gambit - Chris Potter is now Cable.

@@franksandoval6046 I’d be all for a 2nd season of W&X show but I doubt it has the fan base compared to this and X-Men Evolution with only 1 season to make it happen at this point. Marvel would probably make a new X-Men cartoon after this and tie it in with the MCU. Now I do want an Age of Apocalypse and Avengers vs X-Men interpretations to happen in X-Men ‘97, an animated movie special or in another series.

Those who complain about the animation apparently don’t understand what it is because it’s literally a continuation of the series, them need to stick to the style, it’s more unusual than bad I don’t know if there are any mistakes here because I don’t speak English and I’m writing through a translator 😅

Trying to watch the initial series for the first time before the new one comes out. I'm enjoying it so far.

I don't get why people are complaining about the animation in this series, it at least looks choppy enough to convince me that this was hand drawn. If anything. The animation more reminds me of *Invincible.*

I truly hope the reception will lead to more seasons.

Evolution would be amazing!! Though they'd sadly have to replace Kirby and Hank's VA since those two sadly passed, it would be nice if they chose to have Andrew Francis be Scott since that's how it happened on Ninjago and since Francis was Iceman in Evolution

Pretty normal episode count for a season these days. Season 2 already in production so 10 guaranteed coming after this in hopefully a year or less. Last season had 10 as well in ‘96 but previous seasons did indeed have more.

I still think the "Jean Grey" in this series is actually Madelyne Pryor.

Hell yeah let's go! Never forget the X Men started it all. Maybe not the most critically acclaimed movies but to see the superheroes you've read about your whole life come to life on screen was awesome! I hope they do an Alpha Flight show too and have a crossover as sasquatch and them have been known to interact with the men!

*X-Men '97* was renewed for seasons two and three.

I won't cry about the animation, but why would you guys not use some of the iconic sound effects like Cyclops optic blast, gambits charge sound, etc? Cyclops optic blast had such an iconic MMMMPH to it in the original that is missing and just has generic laser beam sound here
