United have spent more than City on players and managers, Chelsea just threw down a billion on players, Arsenal have spent more on players than Madrid have in the last ten years, I can go on, but point is these clubs have all the money and resources to actually win the league or a European cup. They're actively choosing to not to! They're more concerned about making a better ROI year over year than buying the player, manager, facilities, or executives needed to take them to the next level.

So Brighton 'rolled over' for Man City, but then you go back through their recent fixtures and find that they've only wins were a 1-0 win against Forest and a 5-0 win against a Sheffield United that were playing with 10 men for 80 minutes.
