Can't believe it's been 10 years already. Button was a great F1 driver and a real Playboy. One might say, the poster guy of F1.

I wanted to hear what they had coming up for the next weekend. Jeeezus Simon looked so young, probably because he was, and 🤓 Damon looked the same as he does now.

The one thing I miss about ITV is James Allon. He was great, and his website reports are a lot better than Gary Anderson's also.

I loved James Allen’s commentary, his calls in Suzuka 2005 and Brazil 2008 will always stay with me.

0.21 his eyes were like 'here comes the teacher...' lol

Why all the hate for Sky? I watch them at home and the BBC when I'm at Uni and there is very little difference. Both are far better than ITV - I hope we can all agree on that.

agreed!... attempted to watched the Japenese Q3 and sky decided not xbox live decided to cut me off on the last minute!

Sky has much better coverage, brundle best commentator at present, awesome grid walk, tooned, extensive interviews, love sky coverage only watch BBC when i have to. Like everyone else says it would be better if BBC has it all but sky have done a great job, and if they are crap why did they win best f1 coverage for 2012?

Well i've been following F1 for years and I agree. I don't know much do I? I can't see how if the coverage is better it means you don't know much about F1... Funny that

However, i'll give credit where its due, sky have done a great job with their coverage and presenters plus all the other after race stuff, somethin if you've watched it you would have to agree with.

Just a quick question, as im on a brundle watch-a-thon (maybe the first ever?). How do you think Sky compares to bbc now? My f1 experience has mainly been a tiny bit of bbc (Murray /James), itv, then a couple of years bbc and then sky ever since, tho for the last few years i hardly get chance to watch. Because a lot of the same people have worked all those broadcasts, i haven't really thought of the differences. Hope you're well and good and staying safe. Edit - maybe ignore the 'quick' part ;)

I miss Jenson, he's got way more charisma than Hamilton.

i used to hate sky but i got it for this season and the coverage on there is pretty good, only thing i'd change is rather have jake humphries being the main presenter than the current idiot

How is sky so shitty? This is a genuine question as my experiences are limited to watching f1 broadcasts from live streams on the internet. Usually I watch the one from sky as it is one of the only ones with proper video quality and English commentators.

He may have finally realised how much he could have achieved if he didn't blame his team, moan all the time and have silly demands; he thought he was better than he actually was. Williams knew and happily let him go. That's how I remember it anyway lol. Could've easily got 2 or 3 titles.

Perhaps they won the award because they covered all the races since they threw a load of money at the contract?

Bit of a daft comment that. To many people who love this sport a lot, what's more important, paying over the top prices to have some silly sky package to get skyF1? or providing food for your family, paying your bills and surviving? I know what I would choose and it wouldn't be the sky package. You can still be a true fan of something you love even if you have limited funds for it. Then again it depends what lavage lives we all lead sponging off our families, I certainly don't....

All you Sky-haters cannot surely compare the complete, well supported coverage that they have shown all year, with the Three Stooges, Humphrey, Coulthard and Irvine, all trying to score points off each other, wasting time on 'fashion' comments, that you have with the BBC. Croft and Davidson were superb together on 5Live and red button, Brundle of course, the ex-drivers contributions [with only one exception] even 'the girls', have shown my first fears completely unwarranted.

BBC have not lost out by not having Brundle anymore. The Edwards/Coulthard commentary partnership is much better than the Brundle/Croft partnership.

Sky coverage is mile better than BBC

Well, besides the fact you have to pay for sky (what i only just read somewhere on this comment page), I think Sky isnt that bad? Sure i liked it better when DC and brundle did the commentary for BBC together but the race reviews from sky are pretty good.. On BBC im irritating my ass off at Eddie Jordan, and on Sky at Johnny Herbert, Damon Hill is great, a real win for Sky. But that Sky asks money for it.. hmm that sucks.. ah well I download it from piratebay anyway -.-

I'd rather have the limited BBC coverage than a whole season of Sky. BBC shows all the best parts of the races in the higlights anyway, and their coverage and commentators are better.

That's also because British people care alot of amongst themselves, example every time a British driver wins pole, race, championship, etc etc, the commentators goes crazy, especially if they are British too. Same ego as Americans.
