I was driven on a few hot laps of Brands in a BMW road car by Mark Webber a few years ago. At the absolute limit while chatting away, casually looking at the scenery passing, and clearly operating at about 20% effort. These guys are on an entirely different level. He was explaining to me that compared to an F1 car, even a sharp road car does everything in slow motion.

@@ian260672 Same. Back when I started doing my driver's license, I instinctively started with left-foot braking because that's what I'd learned in sim rallying. Needless to say, the instructor put an end to that pretty quickly. I asked him why can't I use my right foot for braking when I need to use the clutch too, and use left-foot braking otherwise. He was a little confused by the question, but eventually said "Look, you won't pass the test like that, and part of my job is to make sure you pass the test. Once that's over with, you can do it however you like as long as it's safe."

Kimi will be Missed in F1 . The Incident I remember in F1 that is never spoken of is when Lewis rear ended him at the exit of the pits. "I wonder why" Would Love to see on "You Tube"

Kimi was driving an Alfa while at Ferrari. That's enough of an endorsement for me to buy one with confidence.
