    Abdul • very true but i didnt dislike him simply because of that. I used to dislike his approach (before I understood the guy) a lot. But its not a complete race weekend in his absence (or teds).

    Aslak Vind it was great a few years ago seeing him and Raikkonen together with the Ferrari F1 car. You could tell Kimi really respected him.

    And smooth... Toto had to catch the rear a couple times and that just kills momentum. That said, good effort, 3 seconds off an F1 driver. I'd be very happy if I got to within 5 seconds.

    @@SerPurple51 They've raced a few things against each other over the years, and whilst Kimi has won every time i've seen, it's very impressive just how close Brundle can still get even to a current F1 driver who was still getting wins and poles at the time. If you put all 20 current F1 drivers behind the wheel of an AMG GT and got them setting times, i'd be pretty confident Martin would be quicker than several of them.

    bc they feel so much more about the car than a regular person would. a pro driver notices every bit of loss of traction or when the car goes somewhat off line, but when theyre the passenger, they cant do anything about it and they dont know whether the driver has already corrected or not

    @@tcroft2165 definitely, but if you call decent driver extremely talented then what're you going to say about truly exceptional drivers like Alonso. People nowadays use to big a words, especially people from US, if you look at Ken Block channel, his every ride/event is the "best ever". you cant say soup was ok, thats not a compliment, you have to say delicious :P

    Martin was relaxed too as a passenger. Guess racing drivers are accustomed to high speed and it feels like normal speed to them. Toto grimaced so much in trepidation when he was the passenger.

    Brundle is so fast he is going quicker than basically any of us possibly could in that car, while talking so relaxed you wouldn't even know he's not just standing in the comm box. Brundle drips class

    Toto was never going to beat an ex F1 driver. If I remember correctly Martin had the smallest delta to Micheal Shumacher, well it was him or Massa or the many teammates Schumacher had. Martin averaged about 0.200 off Schumacher, Jonny herbert was a clean second a lap slower.

    I've been watching F1 since the 80's but, I absolutely love this generation of drivers! The one time (imo) social media has done good! we really got to see these young drivers as who they are and not just what we read in magazines.

    Martin Brundle is one of the best commentators in sport and of all Schumacher's teammates the one who got closest to him in terms of results before Schumi's first retirement. Given that Schumi had Piquet, Barrichello and Massa among his teammates that's no small feat.

    Toto's a bit of a demon behind the wheel, i saw the vid at Suzuka where he did a similar thing with his wife Suzie, she did a lap 1st and toto was shitting himself like he'd never been fast before but when Toto got behind the wheel i thought this is gonna be embarrassing but from the start Toto buried the throttle and drove the nuts off the thing and for the whole lap Suzie was screaming at him - she kept telling him what corner is coming up next and where to brake and which way to turn like Toto had never been at Suzuka before, she nearly divorced him by the final corner

    F1 cars do hot laps, so there are a few seconds off there, and the Merc was using road tires, etc.

    Martin Brundle i followed this guys career and i admire him imensely! he was beating Senna in his day! Martin just had pretty bad luck in F1 career , but a Lemans Winner he is a fantastically underrated driver! GO Martin GO!

    this is why TOTO is so good at what he does. He can easily gauge the driver. He was spot on about the time difference. I am damn sure, after Ross Brawn, he will be the greatest and the best team principal.

    Many sports broadcasts involve former professional athletes. And F1 is no exception. Martin Brundle raced in Formula one until 1997 when he joined Murray Walker in the broadcast booth

    Love it how Martin brundle knows every corner and bump. When to accelerate and brake. He knows more then the f1 drivers lol. To be fair he was pretty descent in f1 too. Great man I say

    That jet fighter kamikaze spirit that F1 drivers have was shown here clearly ... and Max could be a second or 2 faster due youth. Amazing stuff gentleman
