I’ve been married 32 years this September and I agree to keep it fresh, and spicy. We have always done weekly date nights and I think it’s a great thing for your children to witness, that mum and dad still like each other lol. I started watching for the curls info, now I just enjoy your personality. Great job to show a Christian woman in this generation living life to the fullest and keeping it real.

I really appreciate and love how you approach this topic. So many people make it awkward and uncomfortable, and you just go about it so normally, naturally and comfortably. You make it appropriate, but still informative and helpful, and I really appreciate that. Thank you to you and Daniel both for this video.

One tip I can give you for a long marriage is to each write down a list of all the house hold chores. Make the list together of everything that has to get done around the house. . Then each of you look at that list and write down which of the chores you hate and then your spouse do the same. When you both go over the list I bet you each have tasks that you hate but that doesn't bother your spouse and vise versa. I hate doing the laundry but I don't mind folding the clothes and putting them away. I hate to mow the lawn but I don't mind taking the trash out or doing the dishes. This simple tip was given to us by our pastor before we got married and he said swapping chores with eachother made his marriage better with his wife and it made our life so much better. We never feel like we are forced to do chores anymore and it makes us feel like a team.

I LOVE THIS TIP SO MUCH. Daniel and I at the beginning of our marriage agreed I’d do laundry bc I don’t mind it and he would do dishes bc he doesn’t mind it. BUT we didn’t discuss the trash, the recycling, walking the dog etc. And that led to some arguments early on. I love this idea !

@@indiabatson26 We have been happily married for 10 years in December. That tip really works because like I said you don't feel forced into doing chores you hate and It really makes you feel like a team. It really is true, "Team Work Makes The Dream Work" Thanks so much for posting your videos... they have helped me so much such as finding a good bra or on taking care of my skin. So when I saw this I thought I need to share the tip about swapping out chores. Thanks again and love your channel. P.S. I'm a bra size 38G and I found a comfortable wirefree bra. Never thought I would be able to go wirefree but it is the most comfortable bra. It is made by Honeylove and it is called the Crossover bra. You should do a review on it. They would probably love it if you would do a review, I bet they would send you one for free. I'm not affiliated with them at all... just really like the bra!! They make shape wear so the hit it out of the park when the designed that bra.

And if one of you starts slacking, instead of getting resentful, list those chores for both on you and stick them on the fridge and without saying a word, just highlight what you have done each day. At the end of the week the lazy one will see, without you having to say anything, the things that they have left undone so hopefully they will pick up the slack without you even having to remind them!

@@TheTyaptyap good idea. It has become a routine for us now. It's kind of like a game. We made a promise to love eachother no matter what so now we made a promise to take on the tasks eachother hate to do. My husband hates to be the bad guy or have to give bad news to people. He is so kind and does not want to make anyone feel bad so I agreed to always handle being the "bad guy". We joke the he is good cop and I am bad cop. But in return for him never having to be the "bad guy", I no longer have to give the dog a bath. I hated having to do that because I end up soaked. I definitely got the better end of that deal ;)

So nice meeting your husband! You two are so adorable and well matched and it is fun to see a fresh loving couple that is genuinely interested in each other. I have a loud family and my ex-husband came from a quiet family so it was always interesting at family gatherings. Also I think we as women generally are more sensitive and our feeling do get hurt many times unnecessarily. It takes time and trust in the other person to know they would never intentionally do you harm. Keep doing what you two do, it is working for you both. So excited for your future together and may your new home be blessed with much joy, love and memories that carry on for generations!!

I’m Cuban and my husband is American (Norwegian/German). I agree that it’s definitely different in regards to culture. It was weird having his family be so ‘quiet’ and independent, while my family is always a group and just crazy loud. Also, his family shows up early…. I am on CPT (Cuban People Time). Always late. Do you relate😂😅

Peace..I hope they keep the parents in their place..not in the marriage...it was not exactly perfect in the End...the TRUTH always comes out to the light..all the friends that I have meet in different city had no idea I was with a Cuban till I opened my mouth and spoke Spanish...they went nuts...you speak Spanish like a CUBAN whatttttttt.....but your white American...lol...yes, Barbie was what I was called at my daughter's wedding...it was told all over the TRUTH...how Barbie was broken...

I’m about to celebrate 22 years with my husband, and I would recommend having a joint bank account for bills/mortgage and big ticket items, but keeping your own individual account(s) for ‘fun’ purchases. Also, I never did change my name. At first it was because I’m lazy, but then I decided I liked my last name better than his, lol.

  • @Lifes_Frosting

I can't stress the importance of having a joint account for bills and keeping your own individual accounts. I was married for 30 years to a man who became financially abusive as the years went on. He would check our bank accounts multiple times daily to monitor my spending. Eventually he eliminated my access to our joint accounts cutting me off completely. I didn't have an account or money of my own. Luckily I did have my own credit card which is also very important to have. I was in a position that I had to file for divorce in order to legally get money to buy food and personal items.

I am 🇪🇨🇨🇴 and my husband is 🇨🇭🏴󠁧󠁢󠁳󠁣󠁴󠁿🇳🇱 we knew we wanted to marry someone from each other’s cultures. Yes after 2 1/2 yrs there are cultural differences but we are similar personalities so it works. When I’m with my family our NY side comes out & he dosen’t mind because he wanted a sassy girl from NY. We speak in Spanish all the time in front of my husband or even when I talk to other Hispanics & he does not mind or his family, they like it & it’s helped him learn Spanish. They speak Swiss German & high German and they do the same & I don’t find it rude. It’s helped me learn German more. Then again we are first born American generations but he has dual citizenship so we don’t think like Americans or our families. We are international & open minded.

Something I have learned for my relationship and from a loooot of friends-most men can’t consistently get it up and hold it to completion. Think of viagra like a sex toy-so many people in your life use it and he doesn’t even need to go to the doctor to get it. He can get it online real cheap. We had some trouble in that arena while ttc for a year and that’s when friends started coming out of the woodwork about it. Take the anxiety and pressure off your man and get some!

Latin europe was Latinized by ROME ITALY hence how Latina italy got the name Latina. & HISPANIC (Hispania) is literally the Latin language MEANING SPAIN NOT the NATIVE AMERICANS they Colonized. Latin America got its name SOLELY and ONLY to mean the part of the Americas CONQUERED by LATIN EUROPE and that is all it will EVER MEAN. Latin ORIGIN, HISTORY& people are NON INTERCHANGEABLE. STOP THE CULTURAL THEFT OF MY PEOPLE& OUR ANCESTRY. BRAINWASHED AMERICAN/ MOSTLY NORTH AMERICAN CULTURAL APPROPRIATION & CULTURAL THEFT FOR "PROFIT AND GAIN" WILL NEVER BE LATINO. A lot of women wish they kept their own name after marriage. When I get married I want to change mine. We also agreed we'd have a joint bank account for our life together but separate ones also for our own stuff. (I shop a lot and love buying perfumes and he doesn't need to see that on a joint bank account statement!) I think that Daniel seems sweet, but I can't help but notice the odd comment posted from people that's cruelly targeted towards him,... But for goodness sake sometimes couples slip up and say things they don't mean... People need to realise that relationships aren't perfect. I wonder if this ever make him feel sad to read these things... I wish you both the best and hope that Instagram and KZread doesn't ever bring you down. Sometimes a deactivation and a break can work wonders for a week or so! (Ofc I love to watch your videos and all that so don't take a permanent break!) 😂 Good luck with the house !

Changing your name is such a hassle - I wish someone had told me that before. I didn’t feel super strongly about changing mine, but I felt pressured- so I did. It took forever and it was such an annoying process and now I kind of miss the uniqueness of my old last name. But it’s nearly impossible to change it back…so don’t feel like you HAVE to unless you really want to for you!

Now we know each other better and know how to communicate. And, we had separate bank accounts at first and eventually combined them once we had our house. He also looks after the finances even though I can see it all. He enjoys it and I can see everything. It works for us and we are loving it! Just beginning 5th year of marriage. 😊
