I really do get this fear! And I want to encourage you that once you have the truth, that is something you can deal with, but the thoughts about what might have happened are much worse and in the dark, they come from the enemy and are meant to keep you and your spouse from finding truth in your marriage. God can do so much with truth and your healing!
When you discovered broken trust in your marriage, maybe financial decisions, maybe a ie your spouse told, or maybe your story is similar to our, was it hard to have that conversation with your spouse? What was holding you back if anything?

I’m afraid to say out loud that my marriage is over. What if my husband agrees? Then, I’d have been right all along. He never really wanted me and that’s why he had his affair. That is too scary. My heart is beating furiously just typing it here.
