Japanese manga writers are in trouble these days. Compared to Otani's achievements, manga characters are nothing special. However, if they make characters more amazing than Ohtani, the manga will become less interesting.

@@Chris951021 Spanish. Mostly from the Dominican Republic and Puerto Rico, but there are players from a lot of Latin American countries. There are also Korean players, but I don’t see them comment on videos very often, if ever. At least not in Korean. It’s awesome that you’re new to baseball! I love this game!

@@jer_bear316 Thanks! Spanish, so that was it. First games I watched were in the WBC. I remember reading and hearing about how Latin American teams were strong. Yes, I'm new. I also saw that ending battle between Ohtani and Trout. I know Trout was like the best batter, and Ohtani is mixed, but also considered a great pitcher. And that they were on the same team outside the WBC. Hopefully I'll come to realize just why everybody was going crazy over it.

Shohei is entering "Josh Hamilton" territory this month. I've only seen Josh Hamilton do this for longer. He'd have entire 6-8 week stretches where he'd get super hot. June 2012 he batted 500 AV and had like 35 RBI for instance.

Yes, if a pitcher makes it through Mookie, Ohtani, Freeman and Smith, he still has to face Muncy, Teoscar and Pages. If Lux and Outman start hitting, there will be no place to hide.
