Targeting foreign countries has been really great for me. They have become fans who deeply care about my music even if they may not have the money to buy things, they are truly supportive and highly engaged as you said!! So I agree with your findings.

I notice UK artists get a lot more engagement, music fans are just more engaged outside of the USA. I've heard this over and over from musicians, especially in hip-hop. That's why so many underground rappers blew up in Japan and Germany

Awesome topic! I'm from Australia! In the past most of my followers were from Cali. Myself having related more to Cali artist style than Aussie when it comes to sound. However when I release my first single.. hopefully soon! I have to find ways to attract music lovers, my style in Australia as well I am looking forward to the feedback. My main genre is Dark Pop however I rap aswell.. Each song is different. I appreciate your knowledge , understanding and the importance of both domestic and international. I totally agree 💜

I had a conversation about the other day with a friend. I wanted to only target countries outside the US and Canada. Figured it would be a great way to build my from the outside in.

I'm also a visual artist, @artXsoul on IG, and I've run ads to African countries just to test what I've heard about this before. I got a lot of likes, followers and comments on the posts that I've done this for. I will also be making music that will probably appeal to a more of an international consumer than domestic, so I appreciate this post, so that I can further sharpen what I've already known.

thesun collective147 mostly countries and cities where workers are willing to take low wages to do it. And not necessarily. You’ll more than like hit real people but a good portion of your data won’t be reliable

@@thesuncollective1475 the click farms target everything. To make those fake ass profiles look real. And sometimes, people make click bots specifically to target ads to run up the costs of their competitors ads. I know, its fucked up. It happens a lot less but it happens.
