The funny thing is, it looks like zuck was taking it easy on this what looks to be a "hobbyist" black belt, where I can clearly see that Mark is a legit competitor. Good for him for trying. Jiu jitsu is very hard to do and not everyone is built for it so I applaud him for trying. U can tell the athleticism doesn’t come naturally to him and he still does it. Good for him.

Hey Jedi, I just started jiu-jitsu a month ago. I'm having a hard problem when I roll. I do great until someone gets on top of me , only in Mount position, and then I can't breathe regardless on how big or small they are and it's really getting me down because I feel like other don't want to roll with me because as soon as they get on top I can't handle the pressure. Would really like your advise. Thank you.

I’d just say strengthen chest muscles and learn trap and rolls and other techniques to give you confidence while you’re mounted, but idk

using an arm to create separation from a single leg is called a "whizzer" my training partner also calls it a "wizard" which bugs me a little as a guy who's been grappling my whole life. I'm not sure if it's true but the lore is irish rail workers would overhook a bar while pissing off a moving rail car and they had influence over early wrestling. It's also possible the just used to redirect them and whiz was a more popular word to use for that motion at the time. Another lore is it's a translation.

Still white. Its pretty obvious. And the problem with celeb practitioners is that they never have those training partners who go ham on them because they are just a regular joe. How many times did you leave the gym as a white with a fucked up neck, jaw, elbow, arm, etc... because an upper belt or someone better than you put you through the fucking ringer. I highly doubt he has been in anything other than a super controlled and safe environment.

I dont want to like Zuck... and I definitely don't want to like him in comparison to Elon. But when they started talking about an MMA match, the first thing I thought was Zuck actually does BJJ. Probably wouldn't be a good time for Elon lol

Watching Mark Zuckerberg submit a legit black belt (multiple times) as a white belt is simply unheard of. I can only recall BJ Penn doing this back when he was a white belt. Based on this, do you see Mark Zuckerberg soon competing in ADCC and IBJJF black belt worlds within the next couple years? As his progress so far is not short of phenomenal... Do you also see him challenging those in his weight class such as Abate and Musimeci in a few more years based on his current rate of progress?

IMO, Zuckerberg looks like a rich guy who has been paying for privates for a long time, but hasn't had to roll with anyone who has turned up the pressure. While his opponent gave him every advantage/opportunity, at least Zuckerberg saw some (most?) of them, but he was so tentative, I can't see how he won a tournament. I guess I'd have to see his rolls first. Not bad for a 1 year white belt, but given who he is (money/power), I'd say maybe average for someone taking a lot of privates. Meh...

There was a dentist that went to a school I used to go to. He would only do privates. Then like once every 4 months he would come to class and do a couple of rolls. His knowledge was good but application? None. He was getting smashed by guys who had been doing it for years less. Are privates worth it? It depends on how you put the knowledge to work

Musk is 6' 1.5". Zuck is 5'7". As Rener Gracie says, there are buck belts granted by size difference. There's a skill gap there, but is it enough to overcome that much size in an MMA fight? I doubt it, especially if Elon takes it seriously and trains with some experts.
