Uh no. I had what I guess you could call, social anxiety, all my life (and maybe something like Asperger’s too, I’m not sure). And all through my 20s I would never have even admitted it and certainly never talked or joked about it. Now that I’m older I can though. But I remember being just like Mark (except I was probably way worse in many ways) and the last thing I would have been able to do is joke about it. You can call me a lizard or whatever now, it doesn’t bother me. But there was a time when that would have really upset me and made me feel bad for many days. So you guys just don’t understand what you’re talking about.

if we did a study on human interaction before social media and after (and just for good measure before and after computers), the results would be kinda depressing I believe. Social media is the antithesis of social interaction.

I have a theory about how he turned into this lizard person. If you watch his earlier interviews he was kind of shy so he probably hired some experts to teach him how to appear more confident. The problem is, confidence is being fine with who you are and embracing your weirdness. He decided to completely remove all his weird personality quirks from his demeanor. Since that isn't very natural thing to do everything he says now seems forced and dishonest.

Very shy, too introverted and has very few friends consisting of people who really understand him, no matter how strange his behavior is, they will just say "yup, that's Zuck, he's like this every day". The worst nightmare of such a person is to interact widely. Some introverts never share their daily lives either in conversation or on social media. Other people won't know his hobbies, what communities he has joined or anything like that. Sadly what others think of him is that he has no other life and "oh, he'll blink"
