This man and his song sculpting abilities has no equal , none . I'm 53 , of course I knew of the Screaming Trees back when they were first putting out LPs way back , wayyyyyy back. I did dig um , though overnight it seems they /Mark fell off my radar . Fast forward 20 + years and i kept seeing a few of his works when I was jammin on the QOTSA library. I clicked on one of the pics on the right on KZread. A acoustic show with the lyrical genius Mark and doing the guitar on the show was the late great Dave Rosser. I was efn blowed away . I instantly related to his way efn koooool lyrics and AWESOMENESS persona. I never looked back . The man's music literally saved me a few times in my life . Women , drugs, so on . When I heard the news , it literally stopped me in my tracks. This one really hurt. You were the absolute kooooolest mo fo on the plant guy . Thanks man , I will listen to your genius library of art until I leave this fabulous place . RIP brother . You certainly deserve it . . . .

I met a new man in my life in Dec 2021. He introduced me to Mark Lanegan’s music. My man met Mark and spoke to him once, In the same venue we met. I was instantly taken in by Marks emotional performance and beautiful voice. We promised each other that we’d see Mark together the next time he played the UK…. It wasn’t to be. Such a loss. Gone too soon. I continue to be enthralled by Mark Lanegan’s rich back catalogue and love to search out videos like this one. Fabulously intimate… The gig I never saw.

Wow, he is on my KZread, Spotify, my vinyl, cd player. I was 17 when Nirvana exploded, so listen to S Trees. Remember a freind played ”Bubbelgum”, fell in love whith Pj Harvey. But what a ride im on, my song writing went cold turky for 8 - 10 weeks. But seens Mr Lanegan came into my life, im inspierd. Your gone, but your songs fills my room whith your spirit. RIP

This is an amazing performance, I love the intimate setting and I knew this had to be somewhere outside of the US. American audience would never have been as quiet and engaged, I guess we’re just not like that sadly. This is a gift to have after losing Mark back in February. When I read the news of his passing, it was the first time I’ve ever cried over the loss of a famous person or someone I didn’t know personally. I did feel like, thru his music and lyrics, on a spiritual level he knew me and I felt like I knew him. His music has meant so much to me and changed the way I think about writing music, singing, and more. I love this man and his incredible and unique voice. Rest In Peace Mr. “Dark Mark” Lanegan. The worlds a little less bright without you in it. ❤️

That’s not entirely true. I’ve been to at least 4 shows of his, each one different but I’m reminded of a set at Chicago school of folk music where it was again just him and Zander featured here and it was a breathtaking show. One of my fondest memories despite almost falling off of the balcony

Love your comments. They're So Right On! I agree with what you said about the US. And we really missed out. He took his beautiful music and toured where he knew it would be appreciated. We missed out. But so grateful we have his music and some of the clips from him LIVE!

Did you miss the part where the drunk lady screams "FUCK YEEEEEEEEAH!!!" at multiple points during the show, including in several climactic and important parts? See St. Louis Elegy. She completely ruins the final "....and I've drunk myself sick."
