Incredible. I'm 73 and I started listening to Dire Straits any many years ago, and will continue to listen the rest of my life. I will request Brothers in Arms and Telegraph Road for my final music choices. MK is simply the best musician I have heard in my life. Thank you Mark for your genius and the emotion in your music.

Could not agree more. Thank my lucky stars to have seen him 3 times in about the past 40 years. Long live Mark Knopfler ! ✌👏💪🎸😃
Privileged and deeply honoured to have been able to attend his concerts in the last 10 years each year all the way from Mumbai(India). Thank you MK.

Yes what we forget is we wear out as we get older, one video I've seen after this one he shakes his wrist after playing this. I'm 75 now and pain is normal, it's hard work playing that guitar with a wrist that hurts. I don't think he'll stop completely, but no touring and concerts, it's probably his life. Jeff Lynne's the same he's still performing and he's 74, doesn't look a day older than when he built ELO. Both worthy of Knighthoods and I hope that comes true before its too late. I've just rediscovered both on here after many years and I listen with my ear buds and dance in a fashion 😅 Long may they reign with good health...
This is the best live performance of any song I've ever seen.
Cuando Dios hace musica es para la eternidad
Está es la música q le da vida a mí hermano durante su enfermedad
A masterpiece of a great great great genius !💕 Thank you so much Mark !🙏🎶🎶👋👋💕
Thanks Dad (rip), you've shown me what good music is. MK my idol now and forever
Probably this is the most divine version of Telegraph Road... what remains is that schools of music must include this performance into their study books... its' not only the guitar playing, listen to the piano, the drum, percussion, everything there is simply divine. All sounds coming out from the instruments, take you to somewhere you've never been before... a million thanks to Mark and his brilliant band....
Le Morceau de référence de Dire Straits. Toujours la même signature du Meilleur guitariste au monde. Merci Mark Knopfler. Thanks for all you have done ! Adel Houdrouge.
i love you so much mark ,, sins i was 14 years old at 1975 ... same age as you now...and hope for living as well

And I have loved him too, 45 years now x
No flashy musical gymnastics. No contorted expressions. Just stunning music.
I have been listening to guitar players for well over 50 years. NONE equals the magnificent finger-picking Mark Knopfler, including BB King of my youth! None!!
Phénoménal solo final - ca joue profond et vite , chaque note est soupesée , le tout est à fort pouvoir évocateur .... magistral .....
Esse homem é inconfundível, inesquecível... E melhor músico do planeta. MK ❤💃🇧🇷
Pure Genius doesn't get any better than this!
Makes me happy, gives me goosebumps for +30 years now.
does it get any better........smooth, a dear friend turned me onto Dire Straits, way back in tha day. loved them and him ever since. especially as we've matured, i find him sooooooo comforting. he only has a few of his caliber.......and they make it "Look" so easy. SRV RIP, Mr. "Slowhand" himself of course thats the great Eric Clapton, the Late George Harrison & Roy Orbison. there are others. so soulful and they don't have to jump around, and get all 'CRAZY' to express themselves. Watch Roy in 'a black & white Night' he barely moves but he's rockin it big time and knockin it outta da park. I feel that Mark's mellowed like the finest wine, esp since he's been out on his own.....beyond Dire Straits. Keeps me coming back all the time.
Mark Knopfler The now old man, old dad and I assume an great old Grandad 👴🏻 His music is pretty much like the old wines, the older they get the better they teste. I did like the “kings of swing” long ago, but never before followed his music, until recently re discover it again, and since then I am his big fan. Go Mark, go :) !!!
This song - and the way Mark Knopfler performs it... it has always been and undoubtedly will always be my most favourite piece of music. A precious work of art and a beautiful, deep story at the same time. Thank you.
SIMPLY SOME OF THE BEST CLASSY, FINE AND HARMONIC MUSIC EVER!! GOAT!!!
First saw Dire Straights in the late 1980 at Julies nightclub in Newcastle upon Tyne, where i worked on the door, they were unknown just about and burst into song with Sultans of swing, took over the club and ive loved them ever since.
Truly melodic.
Totalmente de acuerdo con el grito que le lanza un cordobés del publico .......ole tus cojxxxx
Pure fuckin class !! what a guitar picker!!
A Masterpiece, plain and simple.
Today's Oct 23/'19. I've been listening to MK for 3 or 4 hours. I'm going' down Telegraph Road again... This one resonates with me, but then they all do... One I start, I can't get enough... Yeah, he's older, but W0W, he's still got it... I'll be doing this again b/c I can't stay away...
What i meant was, he just keeps getting better and better and better and bet...
174 thumbs down. How can this be I ask? Marks music reaches down into your soul. And creates kindness and LOVE.
I agree. Mark is a real genious, and it a pity do not share a masterpiece like this song.
I wonder who Mark Knopfler was the opening act for at this concert. Must be hard being the next band on stage after this? Astonishingly good
Thanks for your excellent performance mark

The most beautiful guitar for the best guitar player!
el mejor guitaristi del seculo 20!!!
May like it or not, but Mark Knopfler is one of, or is the best Guitar Players in the world
Undoubtedly that Sir Mark Knopfler remains the "Shakespeare" of music of all times... what a brilliant performance, a classic symphony of modern times...
I had the pleasure of seeing Mark when he was in LA last September. I am very late coming to enjoy his incredible musical talents. What a master! I still am a Deadhead but now i am a Markhead.

We were in LA at the time...would have loved to see him but the ticket prices were a bit steep for me. Should have gone into debt though really...it was the chance of a life time. Love his music and have the feeling he's a top bloke.

I remember after Jerry died, the brutal gaping wound that some of us thought could somehow be healed by the rest of the band carrying on with another brilliant guitarist in Jerry's place. This was before all the versions of the dead, dead and company etc etc that were to follow. I remember the top contender amongst plenty of us at the time was Mark Knopfler - not that he would have wanted/ taken the gig - but he has that same special kind of touch. We are lucky to have been born at this time in history - such treasures we have found.
Knopfler is special, he adds laid back vocals to beautiful guitar work, its captivating.
One of the best songs ever written, how come we never get tired of listening to mark knopfler songs
An absolute classic. The interplay of guitar and piano; the range of dynamics - and of course MK's soulful playing. I do prefer this to later live versions where he uses a more distorted guitar - something about how the purity of the clean sound works better for the song IMO.
I've been listening to many Knopfler shows, i think Cordoba 2010 is one of the greatest.

The song is a journey. For man who only set out to be a musician and not a star, MK is just fantastic. A true master of his craft. I'm so glad that I am not the only one who appreciates musicianship of a higher order.

What a beautiful take! The sound is so clear! Thanks!!
mark , génial comme dab, et danny cummings, sobre et terriblement efficace. super batteur
От прекрасного человека прекрасное звучание
La mejor canción de la historia, y del hp mundo
This is absolutely sublime. An artist who never stops to mystify an audience with his amazing songwriting, musicianship and by far his virtuoso guitar. Genius
One of a kind!
Que gran video, que gran músico, simplemente MARK KNOPFLER
Who in the Hell would give this a thumbs down?
The brilliance of Knopfler on full display. At times his performance is so magically understated that I have to look twice to confirm to myself that he is actually picking. I have not long left on this world, but I intend to spend an inordinate amount of it listening to Mark. He sends my soul.

Don't get me wrong...Eric Clapton....is a guitar god, no doubt. But Mark Knopfler...is THE...guitar god.
This guy is a legend, he can't even stand up with his guitar anymore, he has to sit down. But HE IS HERE SINGING and playing in pain obviously but here he is doing it so everyone can enjoy his music. This man is what music is all about.

Maybe my favorite version of TR Mark is like fine wine he just gets better with age. Great stuff many thanks!
Madre mía cómo suena ese "Telegraph Road" con los años. ¡¡BESTIAL!!.
Absolutely the greatest guitarist/ songwriter ever. This is Beethoven / Motzat/ Shakespeare/ Steinbeck rolled into one.
@dluijk Je hebt helemaal gelijk. Hij mag dan iets ouder en kaler zijn geworden maar, de klasse straalt er nog steeds van af.
Knopfler is so smooth... Effortless, like Gilmour, SRV, Bonnie and Bonamassa. Oh yeah, and Duane Allman.. Too many more to mention.
favorite song of DS ever !
When I was working on air at an FM station in Melbourne long time ago, this was my "get coffee and have a smoke" track, hehe. Life and glorious music.

I am surprised how great musicians can play such energetic songs (especially the solo in the end) without much movement and sitting still. must have been really hard but he makes it look effortless...This is what greatness is all about..Thanks mark for making my life better😊

he had back pains during this tour so that's why he had to sit
"A long time ago came a man on a track Walking thirty miles with a sack on his back And he put down his load where he thought it was the best Made a home in the wilderness He built a cabin and a winter store And he ploughed up the ground by the cold lake shore And the other travellers came walking down the track And they never went further, no, they never went back Then came the churches, then came the schools Then came the lawyers, then came the rules Then came the trains and the trucks with their load And the dirty old track was the Telegraph Road Then came the mines, then came the ore Then there was the hard times, then there was a war Telegraph sang a song about the world outside Telegraph Road got so deep and so wide Like a rolling river And my radio says tonight it's gonna freeze People driving home from the factories There's six lanes of traffic Three lanes moving slow I used to like to go to work but they shut it down I've got a right to go to work but there's no work here to be found Yes, and they say we're gonna have to pay what's owed We're gonna have to reap from some seed that's been sowed And the birds up on the wires and the telegraph poles They can always fly away from this rain and this cold You can hear them singing out their telegraph code All the way down the Telegraph Road Well, I'd sooner forget, but I remember those nights Yeah, life was just a bet on a race between the lights You had your hand on my shoulder, you had your hand in my hair Now you act a little colder like you don't seem to care But just believe in me baby and I'll take you away From out of this darkness and into the day From these rivers of headlights, these rivers of rain From the anger that lives on the streets with these names 'Cause I've run every red light on memory lane I've seen desperation explode into flames And I don't wanna see it again From all of these signs saying "sorry but we're closed" All the way down the Telegraph Road"
either sublime the genius and this audience - blessed night in Cordoba
Never enough from this Man
A work of art by the maestro!
