They were and they both brought a different sound that just melded together. But there is so much Mark in the actual music. I absolutely love the slide guitar (sorry I'm English! I think that is what it's called) and would love to know where this is played in the States. Maybe a holiday to enjoy music, beer and friendship?

Imagine you are walking around you get into that house and find so amazing musicians like Chet Atkins and Mark Knopfler playing together... They were all great!!!

A shout out to what life was about, 'back in the day'.....Listening to them is Joy. -Veteran '66-68

Remember Chat from the early Rock and Roll era. But this is special with Mark. Real music and video reproduction is special. Brilliant in every way.

What a lovely video. Mark may be an Englishman, but he sure knows American Country and Chet is. . . . .well, he’s ‘Mr. Guitar’! - the GOAT!! Kudos to all involved in the making of this video. The setting couldn’t have been more quaint, more simple, or more pure. It’s just lovely.

There are a few excellent guitarists in country and rock music venues, but none greater than Chet and Mark. When these two get together for a jam or recording session, they caress the strings of their instruments, and we are treated to an audio spectacle of two guitars making love to one another. Mark and Chet are there only to temper the passion... And the video of the simple country love story melds perfectly with the song... One of the best combinations I've ever seen...

Such a wonderful duet by two of the best in the business.

I just love this! I never knew Mark could do this but I'm not surprised A man of many talents. Rock On!!!

Im from Nagaland and I truly love Mark Knopfler Sir's songs.

Thank you Mr. Knopfler, It takes me back to the first time I saw it back in the 90s. If not the best song of the 90s, it's one of the best songs of the past century to me, a favourite.

Who knew that two of my favorite guitar people would get together many years down the road and create beautiful music.

What a thrill for Mark to play with his idol.

This song evokes a simple, better time. The visuals do their part, too. a Neighborhood coming together, good music, comraderie. No ripping each other apart in mid air... Just a community and great music. We as a culture should get back to that. Itd do us good...

Man, How Great is This? Ive Been a Dire Staits fan since 1978. Marc is Self Taught. We always knew Mr Adkins could play The Guitar. This video is just Wonderful!!!!
