This series is so dark, not in a made up dystopian fantasy world way but deeper than that, the way it shows people's terrible weaknesses insecurities and selfishness.

for me it always played out more like a drama than as an actual comedy (even though it's damn funny most of the time). but sometimes I feel more like crying than laughing. great cautionary tale actually, really educational in a weird way.

But those aren't really dark attributes in of themselves, just very human. This show always felt very realistic to me since it always protrays the characters as "human."

I’m Australian so maybe I didn’t find her as annoying as you did, but I don’t get the hate for Saz. The fear when she says ‘not really’ and the desperation when she says ‘don’t kick me out Marko’ makes me think she might not have any other options than to play the girlfriend angle to stay with mark. She mentions copping off with a guy she doesn’t know the name of after taking speed, so she might have a legit drug addiction. Mark’s the one having no qualms with someone pretending to like him for accommodation.
